Some beautiful photos and videos of the Landscape and Wildlife of Namibia
Incredible work. I would love to work alongside you and learn from the expert.
Hello, I can still learn a lot from you 👍
Everything here is well done and high quality, from the storyline to the videos & pictures. Great work.
Much appreciated! Thank you so much.
So fantastics pics....Crazy 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much 😀
Did you film these all in your headlights?
No, the images are taken at an overnight hide specially built for photography.
Dude, is that real sound of lapping the water?
Hi Juan .. I am brand new subscriber and found your channel on my feed line . Very nice images .. and that 400 mm f/2.8 is the king of canons EF lens , it’s been on my bucket list for years 😂😂. I only have the 300mm f/2.8 which is also a beast of a lens . I have moved on to the RF series .. but still have my 2 300 mm lens .. used now on my canon R5 with the adapter . You have a good channel and a good eye for wildlife and composition . Congratulations on your RUclips channel 👌🏻👏👏
Great video, amazing pictures!,
Dear Juan, What an emotion watching your exceptional experience! Thank you so much for sharing so many awesome moments and for providing the EXIF data for each photo. You are a great photographer. Could you just let us know which season you were there, and which month you would recommend for visiting Zimanga to get the most out of the overnight hde sessions and see the most wildlife at night? Thank you in advance !
Hi Patricia, sorry for only reply now. Juan passed away and I am sorting out all his media. Zimanga is ideal all year around for best photography. Please subscribe to my newsletter as I have rebranded the company - www.africanphotoexpeditions.co.za and let me know if you would like me to assist you with a booking at Zimanga. Kind Regards, Charmaine
Beautiful photos. Could you let us know the month that you visited? The night game was amazing!
Hi Elena, that video was taken in December month.
I want to send this to the devs of expansive worlds so they can add jackal drink times back into Cotw
Very nice … audibility is an issue … great photos
What month of the year was this?
Hi, it was December
Simply stunning
Thank you.
Wonderful images. I have a 1DX ii as well but it gets very little use in this mirrorless era. I hope you upload again.
Thank you so much. Juan passed away and I have taken over the site, but still getting into it. I hope to be loaded a new video soon.
Amazing shots ! How many nights did you stay in the hide to see all these animals?
Only one night :-)
Stunning photos
Where is Simanga?
Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa
Lovely, simply lovely
I cannot say enough to express this beauty. Just so peaceful looking. I can't see you having nothing but success with your channel. It's absolutely amazing. Tysm 4 the recommendation. Awesome footage ❤
Amazing photography.
Thank you for sharing, can't wait to get there 🙂
One of the most impressive Wildlife Scenes I have ever seen, real Magic!!
Nice work. Which month where you there?
Thank you for your response.....that were filmed in July
Brilliant photography iv been to Namibia now i wont to go to Zimanga
Thank you for response .....you can contact me on juan@mightymedia.tv if you want to go 😀
Great video Juan, beautifully filmed, interesting and super useful. I’m trying to decide where to go for my first photography safari experience. My main focus is on photography but as I have never been on safari before, I want a whole ’safari experience’ if possible. I’m looking at the following, Pangolin’s hotel and house boat safari on the chobe river, a photographic safari to Mashatu Lodge or a 10 night stay at Zimanga. My main concern about the Pangolin photo safari is that the chobe river and park will be very busy. I don’t want to be one of several boats or vehicles at each game sighting. I am also slightly concerned about mosquitoes that could be on the river. For these reasons do you think Mashatu (in November) or Zimanga (in September) will give me a quieter and less touristy safari experience? Which do you think would be better for wildlife photography and seeing plenty of wildlife?
@andygray7776 thank you for your message. I am sorry that Juan never got to respond. He has passed away due to a short battle with cancer. I have taken over the business and rebranded (its his wife here). I have only now managed to get to the RUclips channel which I will also be moving over. Please subscribe to my newsletter on www.africanphotoexpeditions.co.za
@@africanphotoexpeditions Hi Charmaine, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Juan. Thank you for getting back to me. I did a wonderful photograph Safari this time last year in Kenya and got the ‘classic Safari experience’ I was after. It was amazing. I hope to visit Chobe sometime when my budget permits and I have subscribed to your website/newsletter. I wish you all the best moving forward with the business. Andy
@@andygray7776 Thank you so much - super happy you got to experience Kenya, it is magic.
Amazing video! It really provides a good perspective of all the reserve has to offer. Well done! What month of the year was this?
Morning Mary, thank you for your feedback......most of the footage were taken over a Dec trip 😀
Hi Juan, I loved your video! It really took us on an amazing trip ! Thank you for making and sharing this. I have a question for you. I will be visiting Zimanga in Dec and wanted to get some advice from you on what lenses (mm) would be best to carry. Thanks in advance!
Morning here in Africa, thank you for your beautiful message. On a full frame camera you will need a wide angle 16-35mm f2,8 for overnight hide if something big comes to drink. Your goto lens will be a 70-200mm f2,8 in all the hides. You will need something up to 400mm for the small stuff or to crop in abit to create beautiful out of focus backgrounds.
@@africanphotoexpeditions that is very helpful. Many thanks and wishing you many more awesome wildlife experiences!
@@debabratabagchi1487 your are welcome
@@africanphotoexpeditions Thanks Juan. Your responses were valuable and I had a great time at Zimanga. I also wanted to know if you conduct group tours in Zimanga. If yes, I would love to know more about it. What could be the best way to do that ?
@@junglelens Thank you for your reply......I'm glad you had a great time at Zimanga. Yes, I do group trips to Zimanga.....it will be best if we can communicate this via email - juan@mightymedia.tv

So great! That was such an epic week, and so many of your photos turned out wonderfully! One day we'll get around to our video from Pangolin, but it might be a while 🤣
Thank you......yes it was great having you there with us as well. It was also a bit of a ruch job to get it done.
Nice Juan! So funny to see this video while I am busy hosting guests here on the river for Pangolin ;-) LOL
Thanks Marco.....I saw you are busy up there, I have three trips coming up soon😄
Lucky you:-)
@@charmainepypers1449 😜🤗
@@charmainepypers1449 Can't complain LOL
Awesome photography!! What focal length were you using?
Thank you for your comment.....in the hides a mixture of a Canon 400mm f2,8 prime for closeup shots and the Canon 70 - 200mm f2,8 for wider shots
@@africanphotoexpeditions Thanks for info
@@SuperSafari6 you are welcome
@@africanphotoexpeditions Strongly thinking in July 23

Amazing and mesmerizing to watch, may i ask how many days you where at the Zimanga Reserve?
I spend on average 5 nights there
Insane. Congrrats
Thank you
Fantastic shots!
Thank you
Nice job man, has been a pleasure meeting you and your wife there. Feels like it was yesterday, but already back since one week ;-) Cheers from Switzerland, Marco
Hi Marco....thank you for the comment, yes time flies .....sorry I could not spend more time with you, busy with the clients :-) Cheers from South Africa
@@africanphotoexpeditions Thanks for the reply, oh no, please that's fine. You would be a horrible host and coach when spending more time there with a random stranger, than what you do with your own paying clients - I fully understand that. Priorities, it's all about priorities man. All good But we should definitely stay in contact and maybe talk about Zimanga trips 👌 Cheers Marco
@@wilduntamedphotography1260 haha....yes that's true....it's nice when the group is smaller then there is more time to relax....but not good for business. You welcome to contact me regarding future group's to Zimanga
Great video of a special sighting
Thank you Yvette for your feedback
Beautiful, my favorite place on earth ❤️
