Oakenfold was awful technically, butchered many transitions, but always played the right track at the right time. Not gifted technically.

PLease can anyone tell me the title of the whole track he did was over a hour long this was part of it, I loved this! been trying to find it for a while now, all I can remember was cream or creamed anthems

These new high-tech, sprawling venues, paired with the ecstasy-induced worship of music, elevated DJs to almost god-like status, creating the world’s first DJ “rock stars”, the likes of Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, and Paul van Dyk, to name but a few.

After asserting itself on home soil, Cream expanded to form Cream Ibiza, extending its legacy to the world’s most notorious party scene. Although it neglected to hold a residency on the island in 2019, Cream is still one of the longest-running club nights in Ibiza, having hosted parties at Amnesia since 1994.

But perhaps no brand is more synonymous with 90s trance than Cream. Founded by James Barton, Andy Carroll, and Darren Hughes in 1992, Cream began as a platform for house music in the UK at the now-demolished Nation nightclub in Liverpool. As musical tastes changed during the 90s, so did the bookings at Cream, which brought in Paul Oakenfold- one of trance’s originators-as resident DJ throughout 1997 and 1998.

I was at cream almost every weekend from mid 1998 to 2001 had some party's in there and went through buckets of mitsubishis great days! The club scene doesn't even exist anymore

no digital software sorting that pitch out. i even like the mix running out of sync and him pulling it back together using his skills. im starting to hate these pristine mixes where no pressure is felt fading the next tune in. i question if many djs even set their pitch or press the button to do it using cd based set ups? Lazy if u ask me

this wasnt 1997 this was 2000 i was there it was a free night for the tv, everyone got a free ticket as they walked out the weekend before this was on a sunday night.
