I would go to a party the more outrageous of the woman had if she were alive. This actress is something that should have never been so forgotten in history. She's delightful and witty and funny and strong. A combo of MIdler and other outspoken, less-than dainty women.
Mrs. Edythe Van Hopper is one of favorite characters in 'Rebecca.' Ms Bates was genius IRL as she had a math and a law degree as well. As Mrs Hopper said... "Huummph !, Mrs. DeWinter, Goodbye my Dear and good luck.
