There are loads of derelict old industrial buildings in the area i live , but most of them are grain stores or maltings , and the ceilings are quite low , gradually theyre either rotting out or mysteriouly burning down..

And now that bitch Jane Ashworth is trying to bring an end to levelling up in the city. That money has been given to Stoke council from tax payers outside the city, it is ring fenced it cant be used for anything else, not the NHS or potholes. The fact that SoT council is bankrupt is irrelevant, although some of these projects across the city will still require private funding for them to be completed that are not going to cost the Stoke tax payer a penny. Does she or anyone in Stoke not wish investment in our run down area? We are 30 yrs behind many others cities, local people and those further afield call us a shithole. This is the only way of breaking the cycle of crime and grime and bring long term prosperity to our people. The council cant put peoples taxes up to improve areas, private investors pull out like with the Hanley bus station site. This is the only way, in time we could have a modern train station keeping its victorian features, a prosperous Smithfield site for people to work and bring money into the city. And the Etruscan square development bringing life to a depressing eyesore that brings folk back into the city centre. But now these Labour swines are so Anti Conservative they would rather keep the city a shittip than see improvement than thank the Governments scheme. The reality is the few years of the Conservative council have done more for Stoke than the Labour party have ever done. Do we want to keep on living like this? personally i believe we deserve far better.

Saw Sid Williams talking sincerely and enthusiastically about the bus on SoP. What an amazing idea and fantastic opportunity to show the homeless that they are important and someone cares. (I've not thought properly about this, and don't know how realistic or practical but this idea just came to me...why 5000 plus sleeps, why not double - ie people sleeping during the day as well??) I'm not a Manchurian but feel very proud of Manchester - very well done - will be keeping this in my prayers >..<
