Only one grape bunch! Week18 Vineyard Growth Cycle Aug 4th, 2024
Well, we discover our vine shoot we are following has only one grape bunch on it. A quick look at this week's growth cycle changes, we are in veraison still this week which means the green, hard and bitter (high in tannins and acid, but low in sugar and flavors) are just turning colors, from that green unripe color to purple. @mcgrailvineyardsandwinery3891

Today we find a Barn Owl suffering from heat stress, a 105-degree day, and we get a quick look at vine growth of our Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 15 vine.

Veraison really starts this week with us seeing the first berry turning purple. Also, the east side of the vines have been trimmed to allow the morning sun to hit the grapes, helping maturation.

We look at the Cabernet Sauvignon, Clone 15 Vine at the 12th week after bud break (budburst). Per WSET3, in May-June of the growing season, we see continued fruit set and further development of the grape clusters.
