What are some good privacy options for the sides and the middle?
Excellent!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I thought you are great!
What if you have trim on the top of the door? Do you install the rail on the trim?
Thank you
you are a puss
When adding the extra height to accommodate the rails along with the height of door Is your rail height the bottom of the rail the top of the rail or where the hole is at on the rail. 🤔
Thank you a nice and easy video to understand.
❤
my opinion it is very important to get backing in the wall for the barn door to last , I will use a 1+6 header board and cut out the sheet rock so you will not see it when you install the header board and put in backing so the lags have something to bite into because you are not going to have backing past the opening header , in new construction we always put backing in if we knew that a barn door was going to be installed . then you won't have any problems with the door sagging over time and always use a roller at bottom of door instead of floor guide , try to have the door be about two inches coverage on both side , the soft close system is a good choice as well
why doesn't it all us where to drill the holes in the door? How many inches from the edge??
Step by step if you have a machine shop at your house. You're better off paying somebody to do it. Was going to try and install mine, but forget that..😵💫
I have a 84 inch opening, that need to slide to the right side only, so is there a track that is 168 inches to slide to the left to open?
How did you come up with the size of the block 1 13/16” the distance from the top of the door to the wheels?
Excelent
I have a question. So I don't have a traditional door opening. The room was added on and originally used as an office. I'm turning it into a bedroom and was looking to install a barn door. The opening is 60 in across. I know that most openings are 54 inches. When I was looking for hardware I see that in the description it says for a 54 inch door. My wall width is a little over 9ft. So, with all that background here's my question; does it matter if my opening is wider than 54 inches? Do I have to find the exact measurements to install, or can I just adjust where the hardware goes? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I am not familiar with barn doors. Thank you for your time and I appreciate your video.
Hi Mike. I purchased a home with a sliding barn door in the master bath. Now the door seems to drag on the floor guides (routed groove type) and I'd like to fix that, but it doesn't appear that the door hardware allows for vertical adjustments. Other than removing the door and sanding the bottom, is there a way to raise the installed barn door? Thanks.
Looks like shit with that white line down the middle. Also why wouldn't you make it look like a barn door with slats
what brand of hardware was this video for?
So I can set it up so the door slides to the left or right?
Great video....to the point and easy to follow.
That’s a hollow core door ..?
LOVE THIS VIDEO AND I COULDNT HAVE HUNG MY DOOR WITHOUTit . NICE JOB WITH THIS VIDEO.
How are you not sponsored by Home Derpot?
Question about your router, I have the same one (at least I think it’s the same), but I haven’t been able to find a thin enough wrench to be able to switch out the router bit. A standard bit doesn’t fit. Can you tell me where I can find it please? Great video, I was lost with the written instructions, but not anymore. Thank you!
Thanks for making this. Instructions with the hardware were hard to understand regarding where to install the floor guide.
Instablaster.
Thank god for this video.a client had this kit had no clue how to install it. Fucking internet. Not just for porn amd politics
Thank you a million!
I was looking for information on how to move the door stops. You are the only one who moved them inside the bolts. Couldn't have done it without watching you first!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
So helpful. Thank you.
That's some ugly door
Thank you. Excellent information!!
Most if not all people should expect to need a header board
hi where u get that black metal that u screw to the door thx
Floor guide wont work with this
Looking for 8ft double rail. Didn’t see it in your website?
Hi Did u include the distance for door guide as will since other says that add 2.1/4 from the door to the hole please correct me if i wrong since i install one and do not want to make mistake thx
i need to order the second rail what do i put on my search on amazon
I was just looking on Amazon and I noticed they call them double track. Have you thought about contacting the manufacturer of your original that you have already? I've also noticed that with the double track the bracket for one of the doors is different of course because these are bypass doors. I hope any of that helps you!
What size drill bit did you use to drill the holes for the bolts?
7/32 is the proper size for the standard hex lag bolts that come in these kits.
Great Video. A lot of useful information. Thanks for doing this.
Note that the 6' 7" bar comes in two pieces. Returning for false advertisement. All videos show that it is a 1 piece bar.
Great Vid- short and t the point!!
need to run a 60 foot rail, for- 4 doors, 10 feet wide, for airplane hanger. I see some wheels are plastic, some medal. What are yours? ...can I run 60 feet? what's your opinion on the one track system? tim andrew, ossipee, nh
Can you open both doors? Right and left?
Doors aren’t level. If it was my house this would drive me nuts.
It's the set back and camera angle.
Can I use any solid door? I want to use glazed doors. Could you please advise? Thank you so much! Kim
Hi, your link does not take me to a 13ft hardware kit. It takes me to a 8ft kit with the option for 10ft kit. No option for the 13ft.
Trying to figure out if the doors can slide both ways or is there a stopper in the center? I need them to slide both ways so thAt I can utilize all the space behind wall. Going to enclose wall to make a pantry about 2 feet deep.i don’t want them to by pass because I want to use handles.
FYI your video is being used by schuifdeurexpert.nl as a guide, a Dutch distributor of these (Aliexpress sourced) sliding door hardware. Could be good or bad. Your judgement.
