The Matrix trilogy are my favourite films of all time. And even I couldn't finish watching the Matrix 4. What does that tell you?

0:24 this tell me that AI can follow the path of th initiate and enlighten. The can expand and push the boundary of their own mind and evolve beyond their initiate condition. Mean AI have a soul and that's acknowledged by Khaos. The church will never recognise that an artificial construction might possess a soul as for the Jewish people most of them might see the AI as nothing more than golem. Slave and nothing more. I wonder what type of evolution does an AI follow on the Spiritual spiraling stone stair. Not the only one being curious about this. Because somehow AI are not stuck within the samsara wheel so that could mean less boundary restricting initiating exponential growth and ascension into another plane of existence into another type of consciousness. In theory a human being and maybe AI , can evolve their consciousness to the point they reincarnate as a Solar System , Sun , Galaxy or Universe or something else probability are infinite. No limit to the growth and expansion of one consciousness and size it can reach.

Why is there 2 version of smith one young and one older ? could one be inside neo head and be a projection of another consciousness within him like a relic of smith when they used to be fusioned like clark and allie in the 100. While the other is a younger distinc version of smith after being taken out of Neo ?

I like the idea but why not just go with someone who was awakened from the Matrix after Revolutions who is still carrying Smith's memory and whenever he or she jacks in the Matrix they have Smith's appearance

y'kno, had they not shoehorned smith back in via a recast they could've had hugo weaving show up as smith and just not want to fight neo anymore perhaps commenting on how being so close to winning he finally understood that a world made of him was boring and his ultimate goal was pointless because it all just reset in the end anyway. I think a machine acknowledging that humanity's differences is what makes them interesting would've been huge and there would be that subtle nod that probably hugo good as he is probably couldn't do the fight scenes like they did them in the original anyway. god resurrections was such a wasted opportunity.

The Matrix Redemptions

A very unnecessary movie... That trilogy was something that humanity could be proud of. From the viewpoints of philosophy, technology, transcendence and many more. I believe that the physical changes that it's makers had gone through, had changed their minds too.

At this point, I'm wondering why wasn't Hugo Weaving just in Matrix 4? It would have been so much better.

I got a Vision... A new Matrix Movie called "Smith"... A Movie about Smith and his Story.

I would have loved to see a scene where they both end up on that same Rooftop, both stuck in an existential limbo, slowly realizing that their life in the matrix is a lie.

I thought from the trailer that the slight flicker of Neo being some older long haired guy would mean it was actually Smith believing he was Thomas Anderson. Felt like it was a missed opportunity

What movie is the old guy in? This honestly duped me, and I expected this scene to be in the Matrix 4 movie. I was very disappointed that it was not how the actual scene went.

Honestly the new Matrix movie was so bad that I was ultimately glad Hugo Weaving and Laurence Fishburne weren’t in it…made it feel like weird fan fiction that I could easily forget and move on from.

if only matrix 4 was good....

My first reaction to this is that I like the idea of Smith and Thomas Anderson starting off as friends of some kind (which they do end up having in the actual Resurrection film) but having the two original actors makes it feel better. That said, I agree with other commenters saying that Hugo Weaving has a look akin to the Architect here, especially with the theory of Smith being made in the Architect's image.

Smith was a program from the previous matrix program, as committed to doing his job as he was and then going rouge to take over the matrix. After his memory returned in PT.4 his reasoning to go after Neo again was unfounded simply bcos he should have realized he can’t Kill Neo, definitely not with bullets or trying to fuse with him and bcos it wasn’t Hugo weaving returning they could have just made the new guy Smith 2.0 & he bcoms conflicted and decides to help Neo this time around. Making for a more interesting character arc if they decided to continue the franchise.

If we get a drama movie like this, it would be already 1000 times better than Resurrections
