I replaced the MZ34 on my ATF trike with a Vittorazi Moster 185. Great engine, and much lighter than the MZ34.

I have simonini 2 plus. I have a two blade prop. Not a lot of lift on warm humid days. Just bought a 3 prop. Hoping more lift.

Hey pampus. I was wondering did you get it fixed. Several things you might think about. Your turning a standard wood prop. Look into a three blade carbon prop. E prop ,power fin is a good one. Youl be much quieter , Way less vibration, and a quicker power curve. You have alot of lz options where you fly and in the right wind that steep sloping ridge looks phanomanal for ridge lift.
I got it fixed, I bought a new simonini mini plus 2 motor and the three blade carbon fibre prop, feels great and reliable thanks!!

Paupus good job gettin in a good lz and glad you pointed out it was your pre flight errr! A kind word of advice. When you take off climb for some better altitude keepin near a good lz before headin out. Gives you time to make sure you have a good machine. When you heard the rpms go up you prob had a bit of panic. At first thought of something wrong dont bank. Keep the wing level and best lift over drag. You lost some precious altitude. Then remain calm and make your best lz ADM. Really you did a good job . We all can miss something in are preflight. Wondering what engine you have . I see its belt drive . Polini thor has a centrifical clutch . Great climb rate. So far been perfect for my big mountains.
Thank! I have a zanzottera mz34, I admit I did a bad preflight, I never noticed I had a missing bolt which cause the engine shakes more than usual and making the belt completely ripped

Are these ATF trikes made by NorthWing reliable at all for a sucking $20K ? Can you tell us what exactly happened and what went wrong beside showing a picture with a loose belt ? Sucking NorthWing claims that anyone can shut off engine and be able to land safely in a soaring ATF brand ! What if you were flying over a deep lake for God’s sake ? I recommend everyone to wear a life jacket before you get into these trikes, or make sure you don’t get near any water at any cost. If you didn’t crash, you might drawn and end up having a nice cup of coffee with Jesus Christ in Heaven.
Sun Shine I did a bad 369, I didn’t notice one engine bold was missing, so it cause the belt wasn’t right lined up and of course it the belt broke, and yeah you can land with no issues with engine off with a good altitude, in this case I want that high, so yeah they are very reliables, it was completely my mistake for doing a bad 360 before flying
Please do your researchbefore commenting Nw is the safest thing you can fly, soarable for hours engine off. Built to ga aircraft g ratings landing speeds within 28mph . Take off in 100 ft and be 1500 over the end of the runway. PIC BEARS most resposability for emergency lz availability and pilot ability. Note in this video if he was flying a ga aircraft the outcome would be far worse. Ive flown hang gliders , sailplanes, ga aircraft you wont find a better recreational flying machine. And 20gs is high end fully loaded.
@@whisperingeagle I would have to agree with you based off my practice with engine failure/idle practice. Glide ratio is excellent in the North Wing ATF and as a new ATF pilot, I fell absolutely comfortable and confident that I would be able to land with my ATF with no to minor injuries.
@@scottv3337 hey scott. Ive watched a few of your videos. Lookin good . I dont understand why more Hang glider pilots that have aged ( like me) who still love to fly like a bird dont realize the beauty in a good soaring trike. I get lots more airtime. Less hassle finding a driver. Lots more xc and comfortable too Bad set up i can power up go around. Land on a river beach and take off again. And yet i can idle down quiet. Put john denver the eagle and the hawk thru my headset. Bingo it all comes together.
