coyote #240 snuck up behind Steven and I. Steven made a great shot dropping her in her tracks. I was hunting alone, and coyote fight brought coyotes #241 and 242 in a few minutes apart they didn't run far. Coyote #244 was running and wouldn't stop so I took the shot rolling him.

While hunting with Steven and Dahlen we spotted this coyote in the field when we were setting up. Steven called her in but she dropped into a low spot with tall beans. Daylen took the shot hitting her right in the eye. if you watch close you can see the spray.

This coyote was 150 yards, so I decided to double tap her. Steven smoked this coyote and I hit her low. Another happy landowner.

We saw this coyote thru the hedge row and Steven got her to come over to see us. I hit her a little back but one of the follow up shots got it done.

This is the second coyote for the night, and I am relearning the range finder after adding the ballistic app. She came in hard to pup in distress and I hit her good, but she ran about 100 yds and piled up.

I was walking out to set up and this coyote came running across the field. I didn't have time to set up the call, so I gave a little lip squeak, and she came right in.

This is the 5th time hunting this spot and the 3rd one killed. They showed up during my quiet time in between calls and I was afraid they would spook if I started calling. I was by myself, and the shooting area is narrow so I probably wouldn't have gotten a shot at the second one anyway. I decided to take the easy shot without getting greedy and possibly not getting either one.

Coyotes killed while protecting calves and foals. The first one was an aggressive male which came in hard looking for a fight, The second was a female looking for an easy meal.

Night three the wind was starting to pick up. We still saw a lot of coyotes, but mistakes were made. After shooting the first coyote and missing the second one as it dropped down. I reloaded my magazine and I forgot to put it back into my rifle. I shot the third coyote with the remaining round in the rifle and dropped the hammer on an empty chamber missing the fourth coyote of the evening.

On the second night in South Dakota Dahlen and I saw a few more coyotes and shot three. The third coyote came in fast right behind us and Dahlen shot it before we could get it on video.

Dahlen and I went to South Dakota to hunt coyotes. On the first night we shot three but saw many more that were out of range, or we just plain missed. They really use the terrain out there to circle downwind at greater distances which created shots that were longer than we are used to here at home.

Dahlen made a great shot dropping this three-legged coyote at 208 yds. This is my view and It appears that I shot high.

I was shooting backup when this coyote came running in to rabbit in distress. Steven shot first hitting her in the head and back. My shot hit her in her front left shoulder.
