We are a happily married couple living in South Africa. We love travelling and making videos of our travels. We go to the Kruger National Park a lot and recently starting experimenting a bit more with other countries. We love the bush and get enough of South Africa's Wildlife. Traveling is the only thing in life that makes us richer.
Biyamiti Bushveld Camp - Off the Beaten Path | Kruger National Park
We spent 3 nights at Biyamiti Bushveld Camp just as easter weekend ended. We couldn’t bring ourselves to leave after that - and booked an extra night at Berg en Dal Restcamp. The trip started out with a very busy Kruger and ended with us feeling like we are the only people in the park. Biyamiti is a great camp. Peaceful, beautiful and spacious. This is also the first trip with our son Leardt and was very memorable. I would recommend Biyamiti Bushveld Camp to anyone looking for some tranquility similar to the far north of the Kruger but with the excitement of the south. Amazing stay and we will be back.

We ended our KZN trip in the St. Lucia area and stayed at Monzi Safari Lodge which I would recommend if you are in the area. It is tranquil privacy. A Day in Mkuze Game Reserve

We stayed at the beautiful Hluhluwe River Lodge for 2 night and did a day trip to the majestic Mkuze Game Reserve. We were surprised by the parks Beaty and and majestic landscapes and was well worth the trip. We will definitely plan another trip here. From here we are off to the Isimangaliso Wetland park. In this series we went to the iSimangaliso Wetlands in KwaZulu-Natal. We wanted and adventure which also afforded us enough time to rest and reset after a crazy 2023. We also celebrated our 4th year Wedding Anniversary. What a blessing. We spent the Previous week is this beautifully place. Isimangaliso is the Zulu word for "Miracle" or "Wonder" and believe me it lived up to the expectation.

We took 2 hours after leaving Crocodile Bridge Camp to see how many animals we can spot in a 2-hour drive. Was hoping for 50 but didn't get there. Still had an amazing drive and saw a lone Cheetah and Lion.
Kruger National Park's Wildest Area - Lower Sabie

We ended our trip with a two night stay at Lower Sabie which is one of our favourite Rest Camps n the Kruger National Park. We can spend hours at Sunset Dam which is just outside of the camp and always has amazing bird sightings. What a great feeling to be back in this area if the park. It is always a pleasure. We spent one night at Malelane Satellite Camp. This is a very peaceful camp and has a lot of potential. Good a good night sleep and had an beautiful African Wild Dog sighting just outside of camp.

Yes, to the three of you! Our family first went to KP in 1957 when I was 7 and now 74. I grew up so many times to Kruger and also Hluhluwe. We had a farm 7 miles outside of Hillcrest when there was no electricity nor tared roads. My wonderland - horses, rifles, shotguns, day and night in the bush and simply a South African wonderland! Attended Durban High School and lived in Umbilo neighborhood of Durbs. After 12 years we returned to Texas - but, have revisited my beloved KP so many times over the decades now that I am still a cheeky 74 years young. If this catches the attention of anyone out there from those days, please reply! KP will always rock- and also, I remember my parents visiting with Harry Wolhuter in his older age not far from KP. Great video! One request - can you introduce a lag before displaying the name of the birds? I am trying to find vids to use to teach my kid to identify KP birds and he thinks it is pretty funny if he can just read the answer instead of working it out for himself! The lag just needs to be long enough to pause the vid.
Good Morning. We are going to the Kruger again in July. Will definitely try it out on the edit. Sometimes you only get short video of a bird which will make this difficult. Thanks for the suggestion

Enjoyable video. Planning to stop at Biyamati on our next visit to KNP. The last time we were in that area, the gravel roads were also very bad. 'wier' is said as 'weer' - crazy but true! But you should hear how bad my pronunciation of Berg-en-Dal is, for example. The Wimpy is one of our favourites places to eat as well.

Hi. The main camera we use to film wildlife is a Canon R7 with a canon rf 100-400mm lens. Then we also use a Canon R50 with the Canon rf 800mm lens here and there. We are also busy planning the next trip. Just cant get enough👌

Hey julle dankie vir die video. Toe daai aapie alarm call het moes julle in revier gaan kyk het. Laas jaar toe hulle alarm call daar toe soek ons en daar jaag n enkel wille hond n rooi bok in ander kand van die revier wall oor die revier teen die draad vas en vang die rooi bok. Ander keer was dit altyde luiperd wat in die revier af laap baie keer in die aand ook.

Hi guys, awesome video and huge congratulations on your little one. If you don’t mind me asking how old is your son? And what precautions have you taken considering Kruger is a Malaria area? We are expecting our first daughter and would love to book a trip, but we’re anxious in taking unnecessary risk, most doctors advise against it, and we’ve received mixed advice, some state wait till age 5, others 10kg as then they can take paediatric medication. Would really appreciate any advice that you might have received and precautions that one can take.
Hallo @MotOmnKers! Lana here👋 Firstly, the Kruger is a malaria risk area, and your doctors are completely right in advising you accordingly. Leardt was almost 3 months old when we went on this trip, and we were also very apprehensive about taking him. We took into consideration the time of year, the area we were visiting as well as the type of accommodation we would be staying in. I also got advice from many people who stay just outside the Kruger with their kids (in areas with the same risk) and friends who frequently travel to Mozambique (which has a higher risk rate) before finally making the decision to take him. And we were surprised to see many other families with young infants around the same age as our son in the park. It took a lot of effort and vigilance on our part to make sure he was protected, and we were still paranoid throughout the whole trip. So you have to decide whether it will be worth the stress and effort. We frequently applied almost all of the child/baby safe mosquito repellents on the market (from stickers to sprays) as well as a mosquito net on his stroller (which you will also see on the video) and his crib. We kept him dressed in long sleeves in the mornings and at sunset (when you have the higest risk of being bitten). We also sprayed the car 30minutes before departing in the mornings, as mosquitos frequently get into airconditioner vents. Upon arrival at our accommodation everyday, we would also spray all of the rooms with Peaceful Sleep Room Spray or Doom Room Spray and close all doors and windows. We would then ventilate the rooms before taking Leardt in. Luckiky our accommodation was also airconditioned. I can confidently say that Leardt didn’t get bitten once. Again- it will always be best to follow your doctor’s advice.
Thanks so much for the insightful reply, it is much appreciated. I’ve heard similar advice to utilise peaceful sleep or tabard and where applicable Mosquito nets as well as having aircons on or a fan. Glad all of you are safe, hope to see many more adventures together 😊

Ons het tot nou jou videos baie geniet. Dit is jammer dat jy 'n ietwat lae hou na Edward Bath gemik het. As dit nie vir sy inhoud was nie het ons nooit op jou kanaal afgekom nie. Die ondervindings wat hy deel is "magic" en so is joune ook, elk op sy eie manier. Hy kon seker lankal 'n aanmerking soos "at least I open my mouth when I speak" losgelaat het maar ek dink dit is benede Edward. I had the privilege of visiting South Africa and my highlight was Kruger national Park. Definitely should be on anyone's to do list if they get their chance to visit the beautiful country. Travelled from Joburg and the drive was excellent, visiting towns along the way.
I am glas you enjoyed it. We have been around in SA and the Kruger also stays my favourite destination in SA. We are going there again in 3 nights. I cant wait👌. Thanks for watching
