Rugby podcasters Brett McKay and Harry Jones launch into another Test Match post-mortem before giving it any thought at all, with this week's fulltime focus on another weird and curious Bledisloe Cup contest in Wellington, where the All Blacks overcame some first half issues to put the Wallabies away 33-13. After their almost comeback in Sydney, this loss in Wellington will have to be one that ...

Always insightful...and somehow entertaining at the same time
We'll take that! 😅
Good show gents, as ever.
The Bok team and Rassie needed players to get caps and prep them for 2027...we had 49 players throughout this Championship...salute to Argentinia during this Championship...but....VIVA AMABOKBOKKE ...VIVA X 4 time World Champs🎉🎉🎉🎉
Moer that subcribe button like the boks have moered you in TRC, MOER IT AND SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS. Moer hom Dawie moer hard
URK is the new Internationals, let the plebs play tests 💪
Bulls got the Boks back. Gonna rip Ulster a new one I think. Goimg to Loftus to either celebrate or cry. Either way, should be a fun time 😂
Skelton as an international lock got found out against the Boks in Pretoria in 2022. French locks are way too heavy and useless as lineout options. Australia must forget about him.
Interesting discussion as always, but I must admit that your pronunciation of URC irks me 🤨.
Ah, then you've not come across the wonder that is @RiaanLouw's weekly Rugby Update! Do yourself an absolute favour... 😆
@@BrettMcKaySportWill do 😃
I love the pronoinciation of urc as irk, love it, sounds like a sacred sanskrit chant, urc
It sounds like an animal in one of the stans
I don't think ABs have solved anything. They don't have a settled back three. They don't have clarity at 9. They have a serious problem at 10 with a kicker/play making conundrum as Barret is like Manie. They can't decide who their best wings are and they really need to leave Jordan at 15. If they lose three games in November Robertson is in real trouble.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Brett's hair? Light, feathery, perfectly coifed. How good.
I call it 'Mid-Afternoon Gravity' 😆
Underappreciated.
I think it needs to become a regular discussion point tbf.
His stylist did well,, a new challenge is the beard.
Harry: “I too am in awe”
Come on guys lets moer that subcribe button, i love this podcast,
Moer the hell out of it
Thank you!! I mean, just clicking on the subscribe button would be fine too, and less wearing on your devices, but you can all 'moer' it as well, if you need too... 😂
It was one of the ball boys that tackled that bok fan and hit his lights out lol
Boks fans have definitely gone next level. Woe to anyone who questions or critiques the Boks online. They have enviable depth and a formidable 50 man squad, but aren’t (quite) the gods that the online fans make them out to be!
Yes there is arrogance from a minority of SA fans.Very annoying. They should be aware that life works in cycles.Bok fan for 70 years.
I appreciate Harry's enthusiasm, but give Brett a chance to speak too lol the people wanna hear what he has to say
I promise to be a good boy. No more 5 espresso morning records!
@@HaribaldiJones-d6d everything in moderation. 4 and you're good
Rasie is wise He understands tha impact the vid had on relationship with referrees so he course corected understanding influence had a better payback than conflict That path came as a result of his willingness to give up being right and listen to the best referees in the world. That had huge impact on the on field relationship between his captain and the referee You dont get a Nick White or Johny Sexton mouth from the Boks
You don’t get the backchat from Boks…ever.
Hannekom is the new Pierre Spies
I hope he goes on the EOY tour. Closest thing I've seen to prime Big Joe van Niekerk.
Are you guys gonna continue through with URC etc or only come back for internationals?
We'll go through to the end of the Internationals at least, and we'll still have pod through this coming break - Test Match post-mortem is obviously on ice for now, though. We may have some time off Christmas and into the New Year, but we'll let you all know. Thanks for asking though, nice to feel loved! 😆
@@BrettMcKaySport best rugby podcast out there. I just meant was the pod only happening when internationals ae happening. Great that it's continuing.
its a squad game Rassie 101 para 3 sub section 2
A tournament every 2 years at a host country over 4 weeks, with the last weekend being a 3rd place and final
Said on X that Wallabies played better and a W fan wanted to know why. Agressive intent was my answer guys. They looked like they wanted to grab the match by the scruff of the neck! SERIOUS defence issues and like you guys I cannot figure it out. Fix the defence and the rest will follow.
Wallabies fronted up. They looked good for long patches. Schmidt just needs another year or so and then…wins will come.
Looks like poor defence from the aussies which takes time to fix
Brett, still reckon Ryan Lonergan should have been in the squad. I hope he tours. Gordon and Tait are question marks going forward. Despite the yap, White still all- round superior to that pair, for mine.
Lonergan and White still have the best pass for mine, and that was why I didn't have Gordon in the top handful at the start of the year - but he's been the best of the three this year, no question..
ABs kept Wallabies pinned deep in their half straight from the 2nd half whistle. Too much energy was used up on defence as they lacked the ability to escape.
Crazy Toole not there. I just don’t get it… for all the reasons you outlined and more.
Not all the time lines, man, now it's really a proper podcast 😂
29:16 you can see Chasing the Sun in south Africa. I watched on there for a 2nd time to see if you can .. and .. I am not using a VPN! Went again to check .. yes .. can see it. Maybe we are not supposed to see it .. BUT .. The Techies in the Rugbypass team have done the software / network settings wrong .. lol
See above. Chasing the Sun 2. Very clearly saying this.
@@BrettMcKaySport Brett I understand what you are trying to tell me .. but .. Lets just leave it at that. Still love your podcasts .. 😉 Capie (Riaan Anker) Cape Town South Africa
@@Capie We can only rely on the info provided. If you can access it, great, but this is what we've been advised..
3:44 Why do you say Rugby Pass is not available in South Africa? I reside in Cape Town .. have the app and have access to all ... !!
I'm not, I'm saying Chasing the Sun 2 is not available in South Africa - per the information from RugbyPass. I'm very clear about this.
Imagine a world where Pete Samu could come off the bench. 😔
Toulouse V Bordeaux - the Garonne derby and Top 14 final repeat has to be the Top 14 game of the week surely. Mola is the craftiest coach in the Top 14. Always interesting to see what they have up their sleeve.
What is Harry's frequent flyer status?
Questionable and generous..

Great pod - some really good discussion on what is happening in NZ rugby. But what say we let the Boks and ABs have their 2026 thing and we try to get a ‘The Pacific Championship’ going in 2026 between Argentina, Fiji, Japan and Australia?
For the first time in a LONG time, we just watched an All Black team that were trying to hold on to their lead over the Wallabies. After a very poor start with little connection in defence, the second half was a great display by the Wallabies. Kellaway played well as did McReight and Wilson to name a few, Valentino was quiet I thought and as for Nick White - can we pleeeease get a cork in his gob, and teach him not to kick the ball away unless there is someone with a chance to contest it.
Chay Fihaki is a bizarre call. There are even some Cantabs scratching their head on that. Seems any flaws in a Crusader game is ignored while anyone else outside has their flaws exposed and explained to the media.
Another great guest. Very enjoyable
Why do you say you can't use Rugbypass and its content, specifically "Chasing the Sun 2" in South Africa? That is not true. I reside in Cape Town, have the app, and can see all! Just so you know...
Capie, we're only saying CtS2 isn't available in South Africa, and that's because the information we received from RugbyPass literally says "Chasing the Sun 2 will be available globally on RugbyPass TV with the exception of Africa." The first CtS series and everything else on RPTV would be available still..
Brilliant!
@harry your WP bias is showing!
Does anyone remember Robbie Deans moving into international coaching? Is there a growing trend of NZ thinking Crusaders coaches are more than mere custodians of amazing talent in that region? Only to be found as such when they move into the International game? From the outside Razor's approach has seemed tentative and risk averse in a period where you are usually afforded the grace to change things more radically. He now has no more currency left to affect more transformative changes. Interesting.
AB's have stopped "taking the learnings" and are now "owning it" - results are similar, players are similar. Transistion since 2019 continues and as you say we/Razor have missed the opportunity for transformation.
Flip! Do we Kiwi's really sound like that?

@@W0nderer cheers, gave me a laugh that.
I blame the varsity cup for starting the stadium dj concept. it's fine for drunken students, but once the guys at ellis park and loftus picked it up, it became an epidemic.
Great chat boys. Sorry Brett I'm more a Harry type when watching rugby. No notes few beers then bag the comments. Great game especially last 50 mins what is with it with WBs, nerves, fear of failure. Any comments from RA types Brett
Thanks again , guys - informative and entertaining
What was that game?!
Australia got robbed so badly they shouldve won
At the game, I felt like it was all over in 30 minutes. Wasn't until the 50th minute we thought we might get back into it
This razor guy is an odd ball. How did NZ hired a guy like that? The Irish would not hired Cullen. Just because you have a great club squad doesnt mean you are a great coach
Well done to Wallabies...hmmm ABs...whats going on? Ill disciplined, not utilizing bench properly, and just going to pieces in past 20 min?.From Bok supporter...well done again Wallabies...well done ABs on this win🎉🎉🎉
There's something wrong with the atmosphere in that ABs team. There are enough skills to be better than this. I think it's a coaching problem.
