From Denver CO, and visted my family in Taos, Santa Fe & Espanol many many times over the years, cool thing i like about New Mexico is everyone waves at you, frendly people proude of their culture and Low Riding not like other places i visited where you get mad dogged or people showing off being crazy. New Mexico what a great place to visit and be. A great brotherhood......

Love this era of lowriders so cool!
Back when lowriders wanted to be low more than sit two feet off the ground so they could hop six or more.
They’re all very well spoken.
50s through the 90s were the golden age of lowriders
I had No idea Hydraulics where even being put on cars that long ago 😯
I read that the hydraulics tech came back with Nortenos from WWII, and it wasn't long before they finally had a reliable way down the mountain!
If you want to learn the REAL history. Lowrider mag put out a book years ago called the history of lowrider hydraulics. Bill Hines is probably a name you want to research.
I want that "Lowrider Oath" etched in my back window of my 87 Cutlass LoLow. 🙏💯🙏 #LivinLowLife
Damn, this sure takes me back When Lowriding was at its glorious days.
We need more open minded Chicanos like these ones
back on 1980 elizer Carrillo from Santana car club had just finished painting the freehand airbrush murals on our 1957 wagon heaven and hell in Santa ana oc socal. we still have them wagons and our chuco1952 bel air and our new chuco1934 chevy master roadster ragtop rumble seat in moreno valley califas socal.
Great video of a great time, when things were much simpler, all you had to do was put your heart into your ride, whatever it was, from Corvairs to Falcons, Pintos to Vegas, and of course Impalas and Contis. Hydraulics shops were scarce, lift gate pumps were the norm, and Aircraft set ups werent incredibly expensive as they are today. Today it's much more difficult, and became very cookie cutter, all cars look the same, Impalas are very sought after and reach stupid amounts of money. Odd rides have thankfully made a comeback and are well appreciated again, but i feel the simplicity of it got lost, in favor of less tasteful trend of having the most crazy amount of mods wheter they look good or not, from ridiculous quantity of engraving, chrome, interior mods and gaudy paint schemes. What used to be a grass roots movement of the working class, now calls for a fat wallet which very few kids can afford. Long live to the old school.
That’s my dad and mom on 65 impala chimayo nm 505 😱👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
