@MegNTheBestOfIt Thank you Meg! I was hoping to offer some useful thoughts. My 'rig' isn't polished. It's a diy for fun and comfort though. :) I've taken a couple pics overtime. I'll try to figure out posting pics. Take wants - leave rest. 1 - I bake in a small pressure cooker, My pineapple upside down cake is beautiful. 2- Van is uninsulated on purpose to shed texas heat at night. 3 - I have an insulated sleep setup over back bed. I can sit up and watch tv on the inverted laptable hung from its ceiling. Good to 29° so far. 4 - Pull 24" wide clear carpet tape over a carpet runner and packing tape to seal to floor. It still feels cushy but is easy to sweep and wipe. Repeat as needed. ~4-6 mos for me. 5 - When I open jars I can't finish I can them in small jars in the pressure cooker. Last summer I gave out regular and guacamole salsas to friend nomads. :) 6 - I keep powdered, and boxed milks, sour cream, real cream on hand. I have some real dehydrated butter I'm going to try. 6 -I set my cooler outside in the evenings when not in bear country. 7 - When I need to fridge things, I've found by testing that ~ 1/4 C salt sprinkled in keeps things cooler a little longer. Well, I had fun writing. Hope it's not a waste of y'alls time. :) Thanks Forgot to say that my curtains look just like yours and are hung the same. Lol

I honestly had never heard of most of these and now I'm super excited to try them! I love that we have matching curtains! 😄 I literally just took the only blackout curtains I own and put them up with a shower curtain rod. It works great! But I don't have to tell you that. 😄 If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to power all the appliances you use? My husband and I are looking into power options and we're still trying to decide on the best one.

You are right! This is (in my opinion) only one of the hardest fire starts. I mention that in the original full video. It looks like I forgot to add that to my title when I converted part of the video into a short. My bad! The title should be more accurate now. :) What do you think the world's hardest fire start is? For me, I'd probably say the hand drill. I'd love to hear your thoughts! 😊

Thank you for your comment! My husband and I actually stay at low cost campsites mostly and we've had good experiences so far. People have been kind and we've had no problems with cops. Just my experience babe. Here's hoping it stays that way! Regardless, we are always looking to improve and will take your ideas into consideration. I didn't know you could do that back then. That must have been so incredible! I believe you can still walk around the ruins at Spruce Tree House and Balcony House in Mesa Verde though I'm sure it's not exactly the same as walking around Cliff Palace.
