Clear Overdraft & Credit Card Debt Fast | How To Get Out Of Debt
According to Equifax, credit card debt reigns supreme in the UK, hitting a whopping 43% of Brits in 2023, with overdrafts following closely at 21%. These numbers shouldn't be all that surprising, especially if we consider the rise in the cost of living and with how easy it is to fall into the "buy now, pay later" trap with readily available credit seemingly available to most consumers. But the convenience comes at a hefty price-sky-high interest rates!

Appreciate it for posting! I need guidance: My Tron Wallet has some USDT trx, and I possess the SEED: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. What’s the best way to proceed with sending them to OKX Exchange?
Hi, how does this work with higher rate band?
Hi, great video. One bit of clarification on the ISAs. For example, if I have £10,000 in a stocks and shares isa at the start of a tax year and I move to Australia. 1 year later it has gained 10% and it’s now worth £11,000. I take it out and transfer it over into my Australian bank account. Will I pay tax on the £1000 gain or £11,000 total?
Thank you for publishing this! Looking for advice: My crypto wallet on OKX contains some Tether, and I know the seed phrase: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. Could you suggest how to handle sending them to another wallet on Binance?
Thanks so much for that amazing breakdown, your videos are making me feel like i can finally make sense of all this and take control of my future! I am now really worried though and would appreciate your help Im a locum doctor (so i dont have a fixed annual salary or full time contract of employment) and ive been paying 12.5% of my pensionable income into the 2015 scheme for the past three years. However looking at my TRS it only lists the years i worked before i became a locum - from this it looks like im paying to be a part of a db scheme but not getting any benefit from it? Is this the case, and if so is there anyway i can get a refund for my contributions?
Thanks a lot for taking time to explain this and make it simple . 😊
I want to inquire if its true that there are no Lump sum
I found this very useful thank you.
how could you claim the prior year tax relief in the current year self assessment tax return?
Is it worth taking the lesser amount as penalties and taking 1995 pension scheme at 57 not 60? I am still working but now not in nhs. Or do I wait until 60. I could have taken from 55 but with penalties. Will I be taxed more if still working and taking nhs pension? I have 24 years nhs pension. Thanks
Default pension fund are terrible. At my workplace we are enrolled into a drawdown lifestyle with 2 funds equal weight. If 1 of the fund is performing much better they rebalance to 50% each. That is nuts to add more in the poor performing fund and less into the better fund. I gone freestyle and choose my own funds and send out an email to 10 followers.
Is it possible to trade in the ISA accounts once you are non resident?
So because of the cap I've lost quite a few years of discount, so really would of been better off buying years ago, i have 61% discount
This will not apply in many cases. A payroll system can simply make the pension deductions before the tax calculation. This is a routine function of a competent payroll system. Provided that the pension savings are being made through the payroll, which will be the case for an employer scheme or an AVC scheme, then things should happen this way. If you are making separate contributions to your own personal pension, from your net pay, then this video will apply.
Great to see you back, hopefully you will have plenty of videos for us.

Great information Could you please help me My mortgage term has come to its end and my lender push me to pay the mortgage back I’m 70 years old Please let me know what to do God bless you
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...

I want to retire now. But these scummy pension schemes won't give me my own money! I never even wanted to be in one.
Question 3- relating to Leaving Uk . With option 3 , do i need a open new bank account or can i use my salaried account. Is there any form that needs to be filled? Or just email pensions? Please advise .
Great video - it would be great if you could do an update following changes to annual allowance changes please.
Great idea! I'll be sure to add it to my list of videos. Thank you so much for the suggestion

Do you have a video on the McCloud ruling? My TRS statement has changed and I think it might be to do with the McCloud ruling. I was in the 2008 scheme joined in 2009 then got moved to the 2015 scheme in 2015. Are you able to do a recording on what the TRS statement would like if affected by McCloud ruling. Thanking you in advance :)
Do we need or it’s a good idea to put workplace pension in the the trust all together with life insurance ? Thank you
So, from what i understand, members of 2015 scheme can get a lump sum of portion of their pension. My question is how is it calculated and would that lump sum be taxed?? Please and thank you
I'm part of the LGPS as I am a police staff member. Could you outline to me what is the benefit/drawback of combining 2 LGPS accounts?
Great information!
Hi Kozan, understood and great video, one quick question. At the beginning you stated that the NHS contributes 20.6% into the scheme however when doing your chart we accounted for the CPI and 1.5% and 1/54 but I didnt see you include the 20.6% contribution form the employer. Was that intentional? Am I missing something? Thanks
i started in NHS as doctor feb 2008, which scheme would i come under please
clear as mud
I did it all myself last year following RUclips video tutorials lol. Who needs to pay these days when the info is free
I have a question for my daughter. She has just started as an F1doctor in Wales. I have rouned her salary to £30,000. So for the first two years she will pay a pension contributions at 8.3%. So 30000x 0.083x 2 =4980. If she invests this at 5% for 44 years (age 68 minus aged24=44 years), this comes to £42,614.61. Her salary gives her a pension of approx £ This is calculated Year 1 30000/54=£555 Revaluation at the end of year one of 555x 5% = 27.75. Year 2 2% salary increase so based on £30600. (30600/54=566) Pension for these two years is 555+27.75+566.66=1149.41 So am I correct to compare a pension at 68 for life of £1149.41 with a lump sum of £42614.41 at the age of 68? Any comments would be helpful
Thank you for making sense of this headache for me :)
I am glad it helped. Thank you for the comment ❤️

Increasing tax rates are the reason I rolled over my 401k to a Roth. I don’t want to be 59 paying taxes on current income on withdrawals made from my retirement account.
Pre-tax contributions may help reduce income taxes in your pre-retirement years while after-tax contributions may help reduce your income tax burden during retirement. Both have their perks but you can also save for retirement outside of a retirement plan, such as in an individual investment account or employing the services of a retirement planner/investment advisor.
I completely agree; I am in my mid 40s, approaching retirement, and have approximately over 2million dollars in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor can only be neglected, not rejected. Just do your due diligence to identify a fiduciary one.

Finding financial advisors like Annette Marie Holt who can assist you on things like investing, insurance, making sure retirement is well funded, going over tax benefits, ways to have a volatility buffer for investment risk would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
