In Tirana and Pristina it was the friendliness of the locals which really pleasantly surprised me, without exception. I loved the bazaar in Skopje. But honestly, I need to spend more time in each of those places again. Where would you recommend outside of Tirana?

@@nilsvestergren3329 Thank you very much! Yes, they were large areas of healthy coral, which pleased me to find; however, I did only use the best bits for the video. Around the water bungalows, the coral was in a sorrier state. But there is also a small coral restoration effort, which I saw in that area.

@@danielwilson3671 by the way, I also use gopro 11 for underwater filming. The short battery capacity annoys though. Do you have any suggestions for a better setting?

@@nilsvestergren3329 yes, the battery is a pain in the neck and I don’t have a special suggestion for getting round that I’m afraid. My way round it is just to have 2 spares for each trip. Where do you film?

@@danielwilson3671 okay, I have three, actually 😉. I go to Egypt and the red sea. It's cheaper than the Maldives 😉. Next time will be in two weeks.

@ You can’t beat the Red Sea for vibrancy of hard coral and clarity of the water! Love it there and can’t wait to go back! I hope you upload a video from your trip! 😊

😂 It should have all been 4K, but I forgot to check my phone settings. So even though the GoPro footage was, it got reduced to match the resolution of the phone videos, unfortunately … it’s a learning curve! 😊

@@danielwilson3671 Aha.. I'm familiar with the Adobe premiere pro's editing and just FYI, if you first mport a 4K video in the editing sequence and then some with a smaller resolution, the bigger one takes effect for the end result (the smaller one will get scaled up). Hope this helps in future 👍

@ ah, that’s interesting to know! I’ve just started using Final Cut Pro, but haven’t quite got the hang of it. It’s just a trial though, so I might give adobe a go, as what you’ve mentioned sounds far better. It’s a pity to lose resolution when the original footage was in 4K. @@snoopys6844 thank you very much 😊! I thought the house reef had potential, but due to rougher weather while I was there, the visibility wasn’t good enough to explore properly. The coral around the jetty wasn’t in great shape, so you’d have to go further to find healthier coral. The daily snorkel trips as part of the unlimited snorkelling package were excellent though. For a great house reef I would probably look at other resorts.

It's very easy to swim to the coral - it's right off the beach! There was a slight current around the jetty, but nothing much, so long as you stay close to shore. If you're a confident swimmer, there's nothing to worry about. A good resort!

The resort was lovely. Friendly staff; comfortable accommodation; lovely tasty! But the coral around the jetty was rather sorry-looking. Fortunately, everywhere else was stunning!

Thank you! The snorkelling around the island was pretty good. The visibility wasn’t the best while I was there, though, but still plenty to see. I was just ecstatic to be in Raja Ampat 😊

Thank you very much for your kind comment, Stanislav! :) It's a very good comment about the slow motion: actually, it wasn't intentional. I've just checked the setting I had it on and you're absolutely right: 30 FPS. And I see it goes all the way up to 240 FPS on my GoPro, which I didn't know about! I'll definitely play around with the FPS next time I'm filming for a video. Thanks once again and all the best :)

You are welcome 🙂 Yes, you could slow down some special moments up to 8 times, using the 240FPS, only that you'll need to use 2.7K, because 4K/240FPS is not supported. But it's worth using it for some special moments, which combined with your wonderful music would be a great match 🌟 These days I have uploaded a 1h video with only fractions of the beauty that I've seen in the Red Sea... I've used interesting techniques to emphasis some special moments. You could like some and if you need some help, just ping, please 👌 By the way, which profile/preset have you used here and have you modified any of its settings (white balance, EV,..)?

I look forward to trying out some more settings next time! 😊 I just put the GoPro on a standard setting for this and I haven’t made any special adjustments, either. I’m enjoying the learning process though and need to get some tips, for sure. I’ll check out your channel 😊

@@danielwilson3671 Just ping, should you need, Daniel 🙂 By the way, I have used the same camera as yours. Action camera... and the real magic of the colours comes with some more advanced tech + special lights as far as I've seen some videos... (and the appropriate post-processing skills, ofcourse 😁). But for my own pleasure and the specifics of the freediving - it suits me perfectly well. Same applies to you, I believe - at least for the time being 😉 Eagerly waiting for your next underwater (especially, being my favourite, but not only) footage combined with your magical music 🎹

@@stanislavlumbev3081 Hi Stanslav, thank you for your kind words! Filming beautiful underwater life in magical places, like the Red Sea, and then reliving it while editing after, is a great hobby. I agree that for the time being the action camera is good enough. However, I won't rule out something more advanced in the future ;) For now though I'll try just to get to grips with the GoPro. Your suggestion about the FPS is already very useful! I've got a couple of trips coming up, but not until the end of this end and the beginning of next. Have you got any diving trips lined up? Are you tempted to visit Raja Ampat? :)Thanks again for your kind words about my music - means a lot! Cheers! :)
