On 'Becoming' readings from Calm Your Mind.
Listen to me read from my book, Calm Your Mind, about embracing the art of ‘becoming’. This can be a gentle unfolding of who you are, moment by moment. Reflective readings encourage you to let go of self-judgment and embrace growth as a journey, not a destination. Each passage reminds you to breathe deeply, listen inwardly, and trust the process of becoming more aligned with your authentic self. I hope this will help you find clarity in the chaos and courage in transformation. ‘Becoming’ is not about perfection but presence, allowing yourself to evolve with kindness and curiosity.

Distraction, deep looking and it's benefits!

Distraction, deep looking, and its benefit in life. Distraction has become a constant companion in our fast-paced lives. We often skim the surface of experiences, pulled in countless directions, rarely allowing ourselves to truly ‘see’. But deep looking, whether at a painting, a landscape, or even a moment of quiet, can offer a profound antidote. It’s about slowing down, turning off the noise, ...

I like Hopper as an artist too.
Reminds me also of TS ELIOT the four quartets. I cannot remember the exact quote but it like life is returning to where you were at the beginning and recognizing it for the first time.
At this time of my life I say...... my body was made for comfort not speed.
The time of Brideshead Revisited
But under what author do I find it?

I would like to buy this. How do I locate it from Malta?
I'm not sure what your local bookstores are, but I'm sure they can order it in, if not then Amazon or Waterstones x
Thank you so much for your beautiful offerings Lisa. I have loved following you on Facebook and just subscribed to your RUclips channel. I also got all 3 of your books for Christmas from my generous husband and they truly are a delight and a soothing balm for the soul. Thank you.
You are so welcome!

We may not have lived the Western lifestyle, nor do we know much about it, but even in Muslim countries, alcohol consumption is common and widespread. Many people drink, especially those belonging to the elite or those who possess significant wealth. It is also prevalent among individuals associated with literature, poetry, and storytelling-creative minds who often fall prey to this addiction. While it is believed that for a creator, alcohol can stimulate creativity, it is equally recognized as detrimental to their health. When addiction takes hold, it becomes difficult for people to let go. However, the fact that you managed to quit is truly commendable. Your reflections about your health are also honest and insightful; staying healthy is indeed paramount. It is often said that in the West, alcohol consumption is normalized, and its adverse effects are minimized. However, listening to your experiences has shed light on the harm it can cause, proving that its consequences cannot be ignored.
My mum was an extreme hoarder especially in her later years when she developed dementia . I am an only child and had the task of clearing a house full of collected stuff when she moved into a care home . I put a lot of het most cherished stuff in my spare room but have been slowly letting it go. It has changed my own out look on my own stuff as I don’t want my son to have to deal with this. Although I started to collect Sasha dolls lol .A slippery slope!
‘Getting rid of’ is up front with me. Too many accumulated THINGS. Let goooo for this one.🔆
Hi there Dina here your yoga teacher friend from HCI. I’m so so proud of you. If you still have my phone number give a call sometime. Keep on keeping on.
I have, since I was kid despised litter, litterers, trash upon our earth. I smoke. Oh no. Don’t dislike me. Anyway, I cannot throw a butt on the ground! Bottles, cans, bags…. no. Great post!!🎄
It IS poison.
Bravo! It has been wonderful having you share your journey. I remember when the friends were there, and I recall you not feeling well that next day! I have lost track the past few weeks so catching up! Alcohol truly IS poison - our bodies just seem to be able to process it, but really, why would we knowingly do that to ourselves? Regardless, I do drink both beer and wine, but occasionally go on dry spells and dedicate a month to no drinking, 3-4 months/year. Each day I vow to take better care of myself-U so enjoy your insights and sharing, as it helps me self-reflect on what is best for me as well. 🥰
Such perfect story and words that are full of inspiration. Lisa- you are magic. I am magic. Readings marvelous as always. Yey for your large stack of wood.🪵 Thank you for being so authentic and bright. No matter what. Hugs for Clem and your gang.🎉
You are so welcome
I still remember when I was studying at Sindh University, I had stored all my original documents in a cupboard there. After a month, when I returned, I found that termites had completely destroyed my documents, even those with plastic coating. I had to apply again to get new copies of those documents. It was really upsetting at the time, but I eventually had to spend money to have them reissued. Incidents like these happen to almost everyone at some point in life. These small pests and insects can cause significant damage to your belongings. This just goes to show how important it is to keep your living spaces clean and well-maintained.
This is dynamite ✨ I have real Hips also.❤
I always find this behavior shameful. What must their homes look like? What if someone threw trash into their yard? They would most likely come running out shouting. Sadly, I think there is little chance that any comment would change their behavior.
Thank you Lisa for such a thoughtful and interesting topic. I must say I admire the natural beauty of a Rubens woman all rounded and curved rather than the sharp angles of a gaunt model. I would like to think nude art is in praise of the beautiful human form rather than the exploitation of the woman.

After I left my previous comment, you went on to read one of my favorite poems: Why I Am Not a Painter.
Thanks for this lovely reading. Yes, Robert Frost has some pretty dark poems featuring people's cruelty or indifference toward other people. I'm not sure I've ever heard Charlotte Mew's poetry. I really enjoyed what you shared of her work.
😍😍🤩😘
Beautiful, pretty, lovely 💋💖💋 Excelente video muy completo, te felicito 💥💥☀️ además eres muy bonita, hermosa 💋💖💖💖 Bendiciones beautiful, pretty ❤❤❤
Thank you x
You are so wise. I’ve tried drawing but being told I’m no good I stopped. I would have been happy doodling. But now my hand seems to be stuck.
Don't let them stop you!! Get out the drawing stuff and push through the negativity!! xxxx
Enjoyed this post Lisa, gives us food for thought, regarding a broader perspective of being creative.
Look forward each day to my time with you. It is such a pleasant and calming experience.
I wish for that . I experience so much inner turbulence. You also calm me with your voice and reading. You are so much a peace. It’s something I aspire to. Being turbulent it tiring.
Thank you for that gentle reminder this morning.
Wonderful
I enjoy a glass of wine (low alcohol), but I can't tolerate the very smell of whisky much less the taste. You are better off without. It causes depression, I'm told.

Lovely & so true.
So enjoying your videos. Here and on facebook.❤
Super cool story 😎 👌
I live alone too...... I was not blessed with children and my parents and husband passed away. I get sad .
You live in beautiful green surroundings. Here it’s not so green because of long summers.
I’m from Malta. It’s a warm country......
You are such a wonderful person and it’s a pleasure to hear you
❤❤❤
I love all animals. Every living creature on this planet has a purpose and I just wish human beings would appreciate that.
Your puppy is adorable! ❤ Edit: That pug sounds like he or she was traumatized by other dogs in puppyhood. I hope they can find a home without children for the pug, so everyone will be safe and happy.
