I don't know if I've already said this or if you've covered it in another video, but the nose behind Bill Blass Nude is Sophia Grojsman. Many of the perfumes you love (me too) were created by her or she had a major part in them like Nude, Eternity, and the OG Gloria Vanderbilt and OG Exclamation. Classics and personal favorites from back in the day. I just picked up a bottle of Exclamation and it brought back and good memories from the late 80s. And Nude is in my current haul cart along with Jontue, Ciara and the OG Charlie. I'm in the mood to smell memories. If you haven't smelled Chantilly lately, try it again. Soft powdery scent that will really take you back. Same with Wind Song. One more: Lady Stetson. Omg I'm dating myself 😂

Growing up in the UK in the 1970s, Charlie was everywhere and was hugely popular.

Did you know about letting Arabian fragrances settle for a while? Yes, some are good right out of the box, but many benefit from a period of maturation from a couple of weeks to several months. If I get a middle eastern style fragrance that isn't working for me. I just put it away and come back to it later to see if it's changed. Many times when I go back to check them they have turned out amazing. These fragrances that have a really high oil content need that time to blend and mature. Can I also say that the scope of Arabian fragrances is vast and not all of them have oud. Trying a couple of fragrances and having a few misses shouldn't discourage you from exploring it further. There are several people online who sell decants and samples of Arabian fragrances and that's a good place to start as blind buys are usually always hit or miss even with non- Arabian fragrances😊 My own experience with Middle Eastern fragrances was about gradually learning or acquiring the appreciation of a different scent profile. It's kind of like learning how to enjoy coffee which I never liked before.

I looked up that Eternity Aromatic Essence you received for Christmas… the notes look very interesting. And That was very sweet of your husband to look for a fragrance for you. My husband has told me, he will never buy me a perfume because he doesn’t want to feed into my addiction and so wouldn’t enjoy gifting that to me… Lol… but we are going to Niagara as a gift to each other, so I’m not hard done by. 😁

I also really like Circus 🎪 Fantasy. I remember somebody describing it as….smelling like a memory of going to a carnival (cotton candy, fruity candy and fresh sweet hay)…. And now, that’s what I think about every time I wear it. 😊

Haven’t worn Avon Fragrances in a long time but as a teenager in Highschool in the early 80s my mom had been buying Avon forever!! I wore Oddysey and Sweet Honesty from Avon . My first grown up Scent was Vanderbilt by Gloria Vanderbilt . I was in 10th grade and it was New in 1981also a Sophia Grosjman created Scent . It’s still made today and you can get a big 3.4 oz bottle for $ 20 I still wear it as a Loving reminder of my youth as I still actually love this scent . I also wore Exclamation as well . By Coty. Oh the Memories . And in 10 days I will be 60 years old . !! 😮😊

That is so funny that you started off with Charlie white. I bought a middle eastern perfume by lattafa and it is called haya. I was trying all afternoon to figure out what it smelled like and it is Charlie white!! Have you smelled that lattafa perfume? It isn’t exact but they have a lot of similarities to one another

I paused the video to say Circus is my favorite from that series, too. I was scared when I ordered it because I thought it might smell like one of those candy circus peanuts or something but was presently surprised. To me it's a sweet scent but in a confusing way because there's something else going on with the scent profile. Maybe that's why the perfumer decided to go with Circus for the name... lots going on but it smells good and make you smile. P.S. It's an interesting layering option with another from Brittany's line: Prerogative Rave. On me, it seems to ramp up the cedar note in the Rave. Bizarre but I like it.

I saw someone else say circus was their favorite or one of them recently, and I was surprised because I never hear that, and it’s always so cheap. I love citrus, so I’d probably love it.

Funny note: my hubby was looking to buy Pink Sugar and Exclamation for me this Christmas since I've been reminiscing but he gave up. Now it's my turn to find/buy both using my sources. Since finding my love for Noa I have discovered that the plain Dermasil lotion at the dollar tree and Caress daily silk soap bar in the peachy packaging pair so nicely for a full scent routine. Simple but so good. ❤

I find most white musks as drilling my brain. In perfume-free zones people wear these piercing synthetic musks, they become anosmic and they spray more! AA Musk perhaps being the worst. I do like Noa by Cacharel. It's all about personal tastes. Most perfumes that are considered safe annoy me to no end, while a small amount of a well-made big floral gives me no problem.

Don perfume oil smells like dove shampoo/soap out of shower, there is brand named dove's that makes it but others are much cheaper and replicates like the one don, I really liked it.

White Diamonds and rubies to me is very powdery floral. I enjoy it. You only need one or two sprays. Very enjoyable

My kid's Norwegian grandmother, who is now passed, smoked Virginia Slims menthol and wore Channel No 5. That is a wonderful comfort smell to me!

The scent sensitivity thing is extra suspicious because it seems to be exclusively American. I lived in Europe for several years and the majority of people I met wore fragrance. It added extra dimension to daily interactions, and I miss it now that I’m back.

I am new to your channel It is early December 2024. Very pleasantly surprised and happy to see a gal who is around my age I was born 1965 and will be 60 years old in January . Who has amazing similar taste and likes in fragrances . Probably because you are 2 years younger than Me . Have been watching your videos and there are many fragrances you like and have that I also have . And a few that you have that I wouldn’t mind actually having but currently don’t .
