Samrat Dutta

Samrat Dutta, a young exponent of ' Bharatanatyam' and a disciple of Padmabhushan Prof C.V Chandrasekhar has initially started his training under Guru Smt Thankamani Kutty. Has explored the art under many other eminent gurus and performers such as Smt Leela Samson, Smt Rama Vaidhyanathan, Smt Anita Ratnam, Smt Bragha Bessell, Smt Priyadarshini Govind and many others. He has also been trained in Marga Natya under Kalamandalam Piyal Bhattachacrya.
Being an empanelled artist of ICCR, TOP Gread artist of Doordarshan and Junior Fellow from Ministry Of Culture, Government Of India Samrat has performed in many prestigious festival throughout the nation and abroad.
Presently running his own institution "Angamantra" in kolkata, Samrat has been undergoing through his own creation and researched choreographic works which has the equivalent qualities of both the traditional and the experiential aspects of the art form.
