Lowering Mewtwo's speed using icy wind, switching to Typhlosion so you can have a clean switch to Gengar and use Destiny Bond before Mewtwo attacks was pretty cool If I recall correctly I just spammed Twin needle with Scyther until it worked xD

A lot of casual fans in the comments. Switching is part of the game. Building a team capitalizing on synergy is part of the strategy. For example, Skarmory isn’t much of an attacker. But you can switch it in to take a big physical hit it resists or is immune to. If the opponent can’t hurt Skarmory, they’re forced to switch to something that can. Or Skarmory can whirlwind the foe out, possibly accumulating spikes damage. Or, Skarmory can literally just be a pivot for a safe switch to a proper counter. If it was on “Switch” mode where you get free switches, that is a different story. Set mode is apart of the strategy of the game. Or else why use walls at all?
