I was a yesterdays concert- Twist and shout was not on the setlist but someone handed a cardboard peice of paper to him with "Break the stadium" on it and he saved it for later- And played it a bit before the end

I remember that I was walking to my dentist appointment, being twelve years old, and gotten a tape from a Swedish company that made monthly cassette tapes of hits that you could subscribe to for about $3 a month. I know exactly where I was on my way to the dentist when I heard this song for the first time. Been one of my favorites since then, maybe second to Jersey Girl. I kind of was "knocked off". Not in the meaning you guys know those Words ("I could knock the article off in half an hour") Sorry, English is not my Native Language. 🙂

The most wonderful concert I ever saw…

Those people over in Sweden and all the countries in Europe. They really do love Bruce Springsteen. I just don't see people in America going crazy like they do over the ocean. I think here in America we just take it for granted that he is always going to be here. Not much longer people am 63 Bruce is 73. So he has to be feeling it along with the rest of the E STREET BAND. Getting old man.

Was this song the finale? It’s the best Springsteen song & interestingly doesn’t sound like a Springsteen song …much like “Beth” by KISS (their best song that also doesn’t sound like any other KISS song).

I can only imagine how funny and beautiful could have been a Beatles concert today.

Right song, wrong year!!!! The real stadium breaker version of this song actually almost destroyed Ullevi. From Wikipedia: Ullevi nearly collapsed during a Bruce Springsteen concert on 8 June 1985 due to the rhythmic movement of tens of thousands of people in the audience and the clay soil on which the stadium is built. The concert also caused nearly £3 million in damages, while David Bowie's Glass Spider Tour in June 1987 was relocated from Ullevi to Eriksberg because of fears about the safety of the structure. Since then, the concrete pillars supporting the stadium have been extended down to the bedrock.
