I never saw this movie as a kid even though it was at the video store I went to in the 80's where I frequently rented horror movies. Saw this many years later in my 20's when I found an old clamshell vhs copy of it at that same video store that was now going out of business. It's a Fun horror movie! Wish I had seen it sooner like as a kid in the 80's because would have scared the crap out of me but even as an adult I really enjoyed it. No this film doesn't make much sense but who cares? Horror doesn't always need to make sense. This movie has a great creepy vibe to it and yes the transformation scene was pretty cool for the time and as they say in this video it predates other 80's horror movies doing transformation scenes so this was fairly ambitious for the time.

Brilliant indeed. The scene is from "The Hard Way," an exciting movie that can be seen onRUclips. Van Cleef was superb as a gangster. McGoohan was superb at everything he touched. His 4 Columbo episodes give you a great sample of his very wide range, as he plays four very different murderers: a tyrannical, old-style general, a gloriously quirky CIA special agent, a politician's politician, and a high-priced mortician. He turned each one into a memorable episode, and Peter Falk, one of his best friends, called him his favorite counterpart in the incomparable and unforgettable series.

And it worked Knocked Dr Who, Blakes 7, Sky, Timeslip, The Changes, The Tomorrow People, Space 1999 and even UFO completely out of the Park

In the 80’s and early 90’s this film was such a gem, I was living in the US at the time, and most Americans didn’t even know their was a black community in the UK, this was a first major British Black movie, sound track is awesome, acting is great, I watched this so many times…
