Our trip to Slovenia which was originally planned for 2020 until something called covid got in the way. Lots of help planning from Alan Garner of Secret Hills Walking, and we were lucky enough to match our dates to one of his holidays running from the same small town.
Took full advantage of a car rental, and spent loads of enjoyable miles searching the wonderful back-roads. Two extended trips, one over Vrsic Pass and the other into the wine country and the Adriatic coast of Italy.
Can't say enough good things about Slovenia, the scenery, the cleanliness, the wonderful villages, the lovely people.
