Although the very first time I connected Charleston Houston with those movies was when I saw planet of the apes great movies too but as far as biblical movies the ones I mentioned were amazing. It was at time when Christianity was and really a big part of society I don't know if he's brilliant idea it was to strip your Christian values from schools but that was the dumbest thing they ever did My generation and so many after that suffered greatly because of it. This was superbly photographed in the excellent tri-strip Technicolor process, and it still glows today, with colors far superior to the "color" films they make now, with their gritty digital effects.

The movie was absolutely fantastic, when you watch the part of the exodus of Egypt there has been 10,000 extras in that scene! Now that it is Good Friday today, I will watch the original movie this weekend. 🇨🇦

" greatest motion picture ever made LOL " come on keep it in perspective. Not a bad actor but not a particularly nice man. I'd say ( for its time it was probably a bit bad lavish production ) ,I prefer Spartacus from back then AND many Hitchcock films. It was what it was a tacky historical epic. But you can't compare old films to modern, IMHO we have better actors , obviously better equipment ,cameras etc. The Revanent is a much better film. Has nothing to do with Me not being an admirer of Chuck. But he was a one trick pony same look same style every film. Shame he was such an UBER Neo Con Republican , Gun loving nut who should of been born in another time. You know the " great white Hunter stood on an Elephant "... Ok thought a few of his early film was ok BUT only someone who knows nothing about film, acting production design and cinematography would LOL call it the " best film every made" 🙄😂🤪 just one of many fictional historical epics they made back then ❗❗❗

Their are only a handful of movies like this that will never die and will always be viewed and appreciated by audiences around the world for centuries to come!

I visited his grave at the Hollywood Forever cemetery. De Miles has three stars in the walk of fame. He is still the greates director in the Hollywood history.
