This is seriously impressive, I've been wanting to do this for ages as I dislike the original body. I have a couple questions though; 1. did you just print it straight off the downloadable files? 2. are all of the pieces just glued together? 3. did you encounter any major problems? Thanks.

That looks ideal! I have an old FTX Mauler, which I don't really use so much now I have a TRX4 Sport. Maybe doing something like this with mine will be fun, especially since I now have a 3D printer arriving soon :-) Maybe a large military truck type body would look good.

What did you use for window material? Find some lexan at Home Depot?

How do these compare for top speed? I know it's not a basher but I need a bit of speed for using for trail walking. I tried a 1/18 but they are too slow for walking pace.

Hard for me to get behind the Danchee or Ravine. It looks capable but not cool just not as nice as the Mauler!! I’ve got the rgt Rock Hammer same as Mauler and I’ve loved it!! Subbed great study bro!!

Mauler has an advantage with MUCH better OEM tires. Ravine still wins overall for anything more than scale crawling realism. Swap the tires and this would be hands down for Ravine. No contest. Depends what you want though. If "scale" looks / performance, then Mauler.

Superb! I just bought my son ftx ravine and looking for videos and reviews seems like I made a good choice.

I take mine on long adventures and it works perfectly in stock form. The only thing I did was move the battery as far forward as possible to help equalise the weight on the axials when climbing.

Both cars look great. Does the Ravine have low voltage cut off for lipos? Just wondering if I could put a massive lipo in it for long quarry trails.
