Great video! I used to dream of this early MTB hardtails so bad!
I was still using a solid fork back then but I was also 12.
Nice trail!!🤣
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this! I started about the same time and this video brought back so many great memories and even some painful ones too I started restoring the original bike I used back then to ride and remember what it was like!
Ran in to these guys a couple of times during the same time. We go back when we can to pay homage to DDSP. It's where it all started.......(in AR)
was into BMX in the early 80's by late 80's was on a mountain bike and still today at nearly 50 I ride. them old rim brakes were not that good and caused many crashes.
A rare look back. Thanks! Look at the small frame geometry in the video. Still riding my 89 rigid mtb about 3 times a week in the local hills. Makes a great gravel bike with a bit more ability thanks to the tires. Climbs like crazy. Have newer bikes but as of a couple years ago, found the old bike to be a better match for my age and toned-down off-road riding, (pushing 70),. I love it. It's like me, simple and cheap, lol.
we call those brakes goose rapes
Nothing like some squeaky cantilever brakes and a rockshox fork with 1” of travel.
That fork was the very first Rockshox. Bleeding edge tech at the time. lol This fork was famous for blowing seals. Mine did & Rockshox just gave me a brand new one!
Squeeeeek, chatter, bones shaking. Yup sounds like 90s mtb 😊
Dude thanks for posting, brought back childhood memories. It's amazing how much mountain bike design has progressed. The tiny bars 😂
What's the name of those trails with all the jumps?
My old mountain bike still has that same Rock shox Mag20 fork that you are runnning!....LOL. Mounted on my Bridgestone MB-2 lugged steel frame....still going strong!! Eventually had to upgrade to V-brakes....my forearm muscles would fatigue pretty fast on the long downhills with the cantilevers...Thanks for the great video!
Thanks! A great use of your music (retaining trails sounds).
Oh man this is amazing. Thanks for posting this. Those were the days.
Your bars seem awful wide!
Love this!!! Reminds me of the biking I did back in the day.
I'm not saying you should make more videos like this one... But you should definitely make more videos like this one.
haha damn some of these give me pain lol
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, what a ride Mike.. really enjoyed the video
Duuude!!! This is niiice! Was just listening today to the original. Good work
Rock City blows out my back tire every time I ride it...
Sounds like a Bass Fat Drive. But this one has other features like a dry blend.
Hey Mike it's Cody here! Jeff's oldest son. Thanks for sharing! I had no idea this existed, I just searched Jeff Gilley and found this gem. R.I.P. Dad. It really brought back some feels.
This mod absolutley rules.
Are your shoes wearing a jacket?
Hey I absolutely loved this mod. What are you using for your spell effect and weapon effect sounds?
What is too old then? I'll ride until I can't pedal!
Why comment on my vudeo then delete it? For me, they (Thrustmaster) are not relevent right now and from a consumers point of view (which I am) are way behind everyone else. Having said that, I truly hope they release something to compete which will be good for all of us in some way or another.
I didn't delete it? at least not on purpose? I did edit a typo.
@@MikeDarknutNiccum it's all good. 👌
Did you ride clockwise?
Yes
thanks for the pre ride!
Cool demo. That pedal sounds awesome on bass.
Great video brother! I love devils den!
MX vs ATV All Out in first person pov gets me through some downtime when I need it. A laundry list of old skeletal injuries here. Good luck with the recovery time.
Yeah I got that one too LOL
May not be riding, but looks fun! Hope you are healing well.
Thanks man. Lived in Fayetteville over 10 years and I've never heard of this trail. Can't wait to hit it but first I gotta find it...lol so much to ride in nwa. We're spoiled
Glad you are ok! That is scary.
I've been on blood thinners for 15 years, after a PE. I ride just not stunt level.
Glad you're getting better! I'm now worried, my wife was hit in the right leg by a jet ski and has a HUGE bruise. We've asked the doctors about blood clot issues but none seem worried about it.
Woah! Glad you’re on the mend!
13:43 I love that. Do you love me? 😍💋 💝💖❤️
How long is it?
Good grief...are you off the saddle the entire time??
Have you since figured out the name of the trail at the end of your video, or could you tell me how to access it?
Other part of Lago Vista

Can't wait to make my way out there. Fayetteville is the town I've yet to venture to. Nice ridin'
Great video Mike! I haven’t made it to Devils Den yet. I definitely need to get down and check it out.
Great video! I will have to check out that trail. Just subbed. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Enjoyed the video! I love Taylor Homestead.
Nice!!
