I kinda get it tbh. it starts out as a slice of life that focuses on the issue of bullying and discrimination in korea. and then turns into a full on battle shonen with insane fights and gangs. so yeah if that's not your thing and you just want a slice of life, I understand how a complete tonal shift like that can be seen as something negative. but at the same time lookism does a good job of slowly changing it's thematics as it progresses. personally I love both slice of life and martial arts storys so I personally really don't mind. and again the switch from slice of life to battle shonen happens so gradually that you only really notice it if you actively compare current lookism to its early chapters.

Maybe this fight will be the final arc.... Who knows

I've read from another webtoon that carrying guns are not allowed in south korea (maybe unless they're authorized or uniformed personnel i.e. police, army, etc.) not sure how true but maybe that's the reason. Another reason could be that lookism focuses more on martial arts. There was a chapter where Jay used a gun but not sure if it was real or not, although he used the gun as a weapon to beat/hit Logan (literally)
