Because the lead singer essentially sold out. They formed the band originally as a pop punk band, and over time they became a pop band manufactured by a major label. The lead singer essentially began the band as her solo project since she was the only one signed to the label.

Gendalf.e Garadriel Funny that you say this... This song isn't Paramore's song, it was written by the drummer Zac Farro in his own project Half Noise. If you watch their new interview with Zane Lowe you will realise that their new style and sound is highly influenced by the guitarist Taylor York.
