I don't take someone seriously who starts a beer comparison with the words: it's not even that cold. Plus, not that many people drink Karlskrone in Austria. You can't even speak for Austria in general as most of the regions have own brands. Most of them belong to the Brau Union, some are independent. In the comment section someone mentioned Zipfer. In the South we normally don't drink Zipfer. We drink Puntigamer, Hirter, Murauer, Villacher, sometimes Stiegl, sometimes Gösser etc. And most importantly, most people prefer bottle over can. I, in turn, buy a couple of dozen Egger cans when there is a special offer (about 50 cents or even below) and pour them in a glass.

You should try freistädter junghopfenpils , Trummer Pils and Hofstettner Kübelbier. Zipfer Urtyp is also ok,a average beer and you can get it anywhere in Aut. Cheers

I find that these extra-strength IPAs come across as more of an American strong ale, rather that a proper IPA.

I was pleased with it, when I tried it.

I recently bought this pack, as it was on sale at Winn-Dixie. Recreation Ale is, to me, a better-than-normal session IPA, not that I'd ever want to revisit it.

I scored it a "B" (good).

I like this ale with natural flavors.

To me, these tend to taste like Gatorade.

I bought a similar pack, last week, with an altered lineup.

I was definitely NOT pleased with this one.

I wasn't too pleased with it, scoring it a "B-" (marginally good). I tried it, last week.

I tried it, last week, and I enjoyed it.

I tried this and didn't much like it. There is some odd off-putting flavor note in this one and it comes off a bit boozy. I make my own cider from pasteurized apple cider using Fermentis SafCider AC-4 yeast, and my batches usually get to about 7.5% ABV. My home-made cider beats this hands down. My cider is crisp, fruity, and very dry. I bottle condition mine and use priming sugar to carbonate it. I still like Angry Orchard's regular crisp cider but this 8% imperial cider isn't my cup of tea...er cider.
