On this channel, I create documentaries on some of the incredible, wonder-filled parts of our world... from the epic tale of the American bison to the breathtaking landscape of the Canyonlands and more, there are many incredible things to come on this channel.
Chasing Lake Missoula (Original Documentary: 2021). Learn about Ice Age Megafloods!
The epic Lake Missoula Floods, caused by the violent collapse of the ice dam that dammed the Clark Fork River at the end of the last ice age, were one of the most epic events of the natural world that few know of. In this documentary, a compilation of a travel series I did on my primary channel (Wonderlust Adventures) in 2021, we explore the entire path of these floods, from their origins in the vast Montana lake to the Pacific Coast, where it was sent violently out to sea.

Like having an ocean suddenly drain across the landscape.
Good job. Felt like I was right along side with you. Beautiful filming with awesome description.
too much face.
I didn’t learn anything new, but great video and music. 😀
Histrionics and Hyperbole….. fortunately there are many other RUclips videos about these events which are simply informative and not fashioned as “entertainment”
This outburst lahar torrents took a week to end, it could be heard 30 minutes before, was deafening upon arrival and created a continuous 3.0 earthquake along its path. I live in the Willamette (pronounced Will a (as in "at") met) Valley, it's 20-40 miles wide x 130 miles long and mostly flat; but the flat topography is because it was the sump for most of the flood material washed down, hundreds of feet of rock, loess and clay brought in by these floods. Before the floods, the Pleistocene Willamette Valley was 400' lower with many tributary canyons and valleys, the main channel was only a few miles wide. Keep in mind, the "floods" were the consistency of a concrete slurry.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Very informative and helpful.
Wrong. Only one flood 👍
Only 1? Really....
No, many Floods. Do more research.
Im your 420 Subscriber,my Birthday is also 4/20 lol
I just want to say THIS IS A VERY DETAILED DOCUMENTARY.....IM SOOOO SURPRISED THERE HASN'T BEEN AS MANY VIEWS AS ONE WOULD ANTICIPATE....BUT,that will change,I look for this video to gradually gather followers over time and plenty of views from viewers.....I encourage you to continue in the travel documentary segment of market insofar as documentaries....YOU DO A VERY GOOD JOB ON DESCRIPTION OF INFO TO VIEWER.... EXCELLENT!!!! Do docu"s on like Cascades,Rockies, Sierra Nevada"s , Appalachia"s etc,....I bet you would do a great job!!!!
I really enjoyed your video. I look forward to seeing your next creation. Cheers!
Below is a link to an amazing animation of what the flood would have looked like as it ripped through Grand Coulee and barrelled over Dry Falls.

we are lied to so much by the gubbimint. pure genocide by evil. native tribes were not savages. they were very wise and spiritual people. the draconian catholic missionaries came to the americas to brainwash people and kill those who did not comply. the smithsonian exists to cover up history and spread lies, not preserve history. government is the formation of 2 words: govern and ment. ment comes from the word mens which means mind or though and govern means control. government literally means mind control
"Though the causes are still debbated" - it wouldent hurt if you were honest - the indians got extinct by over hunting.
How about some native American drums, with there familiar "spirit" & tempo?
Soundtrack is too loud & too fast your naration. Muisc video or accurate, deep, documentary?
Excellent Informative Presentation.
Great video work and capturing the beauty of the scablands!!! Keep up the good work!
💯 agreed lol
It wasn't the united States. They were doing this on native land..
Beautiful! Thank you for making this extraordinary video for those of us who need a guide and the education to see the ancient wonders of earthly creation.
Can’t wait to watch this. I had the announcement saved in the Reddit sub Missoula from a year ago.
When the new earth comes we will be happy forevermore you can't take are country are lands never ever again
We will have are lands back you never can take them away from as in heaven hahahaha and are animals
Jesus is coming
The world is end everything
God take care of them
They are all in heaven
I visited Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump in Alberta a few years ago. It is a sacred place. So glad I went.
In this video clip general Sheridan sounds just like the Nazi's in World War 2 when he describes the vexed Indian question just like the answer the Nazi"s said about the Jewish question,so why do Americans think they are better than the Nazi"s. America is such a racist country I'm sure glad i live in a beautiful multicultural society in New Zealand
What an amazing and awesome country this nation is! Truly exceptional and greatly Blessed with resources for centuries!
🎊 promosm
Actually, genetically pure North American Bison are extinct. Recent DNA study now shows that all modern "Bison" are domestic cattle hybrids.
Bison are buffalo silly🥸🥸😁😁
Love to see the tatanka coming back 🐃
I want my Tribe to start a Bison Ranch 🦬🖤🦬
Why don’t they just give the extra bison 🦬 to the Indians ?
Man you deserve my sub I hope you hit that 400 subs very soon
largest land mammal in north America
Great stuff! I enjoyed watching these. I really appreciated your respect in the way you explained the relationship of the Indigenous nations and the Bison. I also appreciate how you pointed out how the Americans failed to include Indigenous representation during the great bison herding (in the previous video). All around well made videos with real care and respect put into it as it should be. No ignorant nationalism here, which is very refreshing for a video about "American" history. :)
great stuff but perhaps a little sad so heres a fun question whats the difference between a buffalo and a bison you cant wash your face in a buffalo;👍👍
So why not a Bison steak???
I’ve never had bison steak, but bison burgers are delicious! Imagine that steaks would be good too. :)
I don’t like the taste of their meat. Gamey.
Gameyness is dependant on the time of year, the sex, and the freshness
Seems odd to cull bison like that even if it does benefit the plains wildlife. Wouldn't it be better to sell them off to ranches that want pure bison? Seems like such a waste.
we call them BUFFALO. only ding bats call them bison. It is a cultural thing.
I’ll use both, but I am a ding bat, so fair enough. 😂
like a water buffalo? they're quite different- these are definitely American Bison
@@shaelaurie1959 we know that jack a$$
Let's compromise and start calling them Bisalo
Thank God for the Spaniards who brought the horse to the Indians.
It concerns and saddens me that this series has so few views.
A really nice inspirational testimony.
A really nice historical account.
A really nice video.
BEAUTIFUL BEAST...It's plain to see why The Indigenous people treasured them.
Is there going to be a part 5?
I hope eventually! I originally had plans to film at a local bison ranch when I first made these, but those fell through. But if I can make some new contacts, I'd love to make a part 5 now that I've honed my filmmaking a bit more.
