To be able to understand music and fill the void where most musicians can’t even comprehend filling in time is such an underrated art. The average mind doesn’t enjoy when drums are played like this. This is drums in it’s TRUE art form. A voice that demands to be heard ONLY by the finest listeners.

It’s good just that everybody is sounding the same I happen to love the sound and incorporate it in my playing but I see a lot of todays drummers sounding similar with the 32 nd note triplet linear style chops gospel or whatever you wanna name it Drum solos to me has a beginning a middle and an end Listen to the master Buddy Rich his solos are still unmatched today I’m not discrediting this drummer but when u day the best and you sound like the guy next to you go back and listen to the best and you will see why they were and still are the best

Best solo ever ? Come on...Yes this guy has speed but not much else. Zero musicality and not much creativity. Check Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Billy Higgins, Joe Morello, Billy Cobham, Michael Shrieve, John Bonham and so many others...These guys play music, not only hit drums.

I went to high school with Justin. I remember how tight he was on a snare drum in the drum line. Fucking killer now.

Time is irrelevant. Long a he has the click in his ear he can basically do whatever he wants and come back to playing the pocket. All the others have to do is mute the drums in the in ears and play straight. Not complicated
