I took out comments after earlier clips had thumbs down and derogatory comments from members of state police who I had acted as expert witness against them in defence of gel blaster cases. So I turned them off. I still don't think the comments app works now.
Back in the eighties, in an infantry battalion, we had an ‘ enemy weapon day’ on the range. All were Vietnam captures. It was then I found my all time absolute favourite firearm I have ever used. The Savage made M1A1 Thompson. Remarkably great. No wonder they were a favourite of ‘special forces’ way back in WW2.
The 30-rd stick was a great idea, quick to put another mag on rather than the finniky 50-rd drum.

Have a short burst with the F1... ruclips.net/video/FkO1ZZU9Jyw/видео.html We had one in out Movie Ordnance inventory but that was 25 years ago and I didn't shoot much with the cameras then. None in NZ or AZ for us to film, unfortunately. I liked it when I was in the army.

Certainly... Single action revolvers don't go off without pulling the trigger, movie guns should never be pointed at anyone and if the director requires that, we put a bullet-proof vest on the actor. Certainly never aimed at the camera operator!!! And live rounds don't even get onto set. Maybe a disgruntled worker and incompetant armourer?
I have to say that the old L2A1 AR brings back memories from my time in the Australian Army 1976-1988.... I seem to recall several books by Mr. Ian Skennerton on Australian military smallarms I purchased from Hyland's Bookstore in Melbourne a long time ago!

I have been a Skennerton fan for decades; have many of your publications; great video on the Owen gun ! My first toy gun was a wooden "Owen" made by my Grandfather from an illustration in WW2 publication "Soldering On" ! Thanks for a great video !
