These are fair points. I did mention in the video that the Hawks do have one of the better ST’s groups. Again, this is very preliminary. I will probably do one of these at each quarter of the season.

@@JazzTrumpet999 Jets, Vikings, Rams… I think the Niners could survive without him if he wants to lose close to $3M in game checks on $14.1M. If this is all about money, and the Niners aren’t budging, that’s a pretty massive loss in cash flow. And he still runs the risk of getting franchised in ‘25 & ‘26. And if there is some more negotiation in 2025 for an extension, missing games hurts his case. Double edged sword.

@@49ersSportsTalk don't get me wrong, I like CJ. But he's just not as good as purdy. And everyone says "well, purdy is carried by the offense" but he's really not, because Jimmy had the same team and couldn't win the way purdy does

@@michaelwynn2273 Purdy throws with anticipation and also possesses pinpoint accuracy. Jimmy got receivers destroyed with his errant passes; even when they were caught. He’d lead guys right into defenders, or sail passes over guys heads. When people claim that Brock is basically Jimmy with more mobility, the conversation should stop there bc they CLEARLY don’t know what they’re looking at or “analyzing”

They’ve got big ego’s that are still damaged for Brock proving them wrong. They keep crossing their fingers that the shoe will drop at some point. Like you said, eventually they’re gonna need to 🤐 Hopefully sooner than later. The hate is getting old and frankly it’s asinine.

@@JStantonX yeah, I think that’s why they’re not just thrusting him in right away. Gotta build him up mentally little by little. But he can overcome it in the couple months leading up to Week 1 for sure.

@@49ersSportsTalk I can definitely see the comp because they both freelance in the secondary, excellent at blitzing and just have a knack for being around the ball. Troy was just more athletic and a better tackler 😂
