Omg I remembered seeing this when I was like 8 or 9 years old, and it actually was my first introduction to this song and this legendary band. I love it so much and I decided to revisit it years later, without knowing the editor's channel was gone. I myself have lost a few channels to copyright so I wonder if they came under the same fate. Anyway, thanks for remastering this.

If they could do avatar series after wan all the way up to kyoshi this would be such a massive series and timeline that would be so epic

Insanely impressive. Your "remastered" videos are astounding -- it reminds me of that old story about the celebrated painter, and the forger who copied the works so well that they were thought to be the originals. And then the question becomes -- who is the master: the painter or the forger? When I first stumbled upon these I was absolutely confused -- I knew it wasn't possible to enhance a low-quality video to 4k, and yet here they were! Exactly the same, to the most minute detail. And then watching the videos that showed exactly how you made them left me awe-stricken, it really did. This one always held a special place in my heart, it was always one of my favorites. There is so much emotion in the song. Well done, again. You are truly a master!

oh my goodness! i was holding out hope for a reupload this video. a remaster is such a treat! thank you so much for all your work with trying to preserve raven's avatar AMVs. her videos always stand out in my memories of the early ATLA fandom. being able to experience them again is a bit like reconnecting with an old friend.

Raven's editing flow is substantially good and looking at when she cuts, transitions and applies effects here just proves how well she knows her timeline. Knowing how to match your video's energy to your music choice is crucial for setting up mood and emotion and Raven mastered it every step of the way.

There really hasn't been a show like the original ATLA since. In Anime or any other form of media. The closest thing I can think of, "The heros journey" tale is the Zelda games.

this is a shot in the dark but: do you recall raven or a similar editor making a video featuring the dynamic between zuko and zhao, especially their fight on the boat? i'm really struggling to remember the details; i can't remember any of the music at the moment. a while back i went searching for it when i did recall part of the song, but so much media from that time is lost to hacked accounts and copyright takedowns, and youtube's search function is next to useless for what media remains.

oh my god! i was on a quest to find this amv last year. it was my absolute favorite of all the atla amvs back in the day. thank you so much for hunting down and reuploading a high quality version. the modern fandom deserves to see this.
