Whats the boat name?
Question for you- I was watching the gauges while you were running, and I could see 2.1 MPG on the bottom gauge, but could not read what the upper gauge was showing. So, is that 2.1 MPG per engine, or both combined together? Also Adam, I could not help but notice you had a jerk or two commenting. I too have a video on my channel that really seems to bring out the jerks, so I set my youtube settings for that video, to hold all comments for approval. It adds some additional work on my part, but it stops the jerks from having a free for all on my channel. It might be something to look at for you. Keep up the good work!
Boat looks great. If your numbers are accurate, you gained 20% more range at 23mph cruise.
I watch every video Adam does and have from the beginning. Not in his boat but from working and fishing every opportunity he gets. The American dream is real and this young man is PROOF. BACK TO VIDEO
Qhat about the hulls? Did young creat a proprietary hull design? Just curious.

I would better to hell a lot more than a half $1 million
So cool how you can customize Young boats any way you can imagine. Dream boat for sure.
Prob close to half a Mil by the time you roll it off the lot. Way beyond my budget. Nice boat, but wow. I'll head over to the dealership when I win the lotto. Till then my 2nd Tier (affordable)and used 30 will suffice quite nicely
Yeah it gets hard pulling gulf swordfish over the gunnel
Young will add a transom door for your swordfish!
All that and no transom door on a ‘serious fishing machine’? Nice boat and I’m sure it could be outfitted to one’s specifications
Nice boat and mod. Can’t think of a bigger waste of money than those stupid underwater led lights🙄.
They aren’t that expensive these days and they attract fish at night - great for swordfishing and bottom fishing offshore at night. They do look very amazing in clear water and do attract fish, actually a fine investment if you boat at night!
You say you would never grt another boat with out a bracket...just remeber in a modern CAD desgined boat with a naval architect involved...you shouldnt need a bracket. Im happy that the bracket resovled all your issues. It actually looks great too!!
I would rather have the hull to deck joint high above the water and a fully enclosed transom.
Just curious, were trim tabs added into the equation? Also were the porta brackets being utilized and if so were they used while trim tabs were being used. There are a lot of factors that can be made into this comparison. That being said, i love porta brackets and i love Armstrong. Both awesome additions to a boat.
James, Adam’s Porta-Bracket was actually not functioning as a trim unit and fixed into one optimum position, from what we can recall. So, had one baseline there. Trim tabs were kept at a baseline, as well, in each comparison. Definitely not easy to do, with so many variables! That said, as mentioned in the series, Adam was already seeing the benefits of his engines being further aft, for performance gains, with the Porta system. The Armstrong bracket benefits seen were almost all at rest, due to the newly found positive flotation. We look forward to doing this comparison again on a boat that has an engine mounted directly to the transom, then adding a bracket - that should yield many more performance changes!
Have a Armstrong bracket on a 23cc that was built in 1997 with the bracket on it makes the boat closer to 25-27 especially with the walk through on the back along with the added space I really notice the handling a turn radius at low speeds both forward and reverse
Everything looks real nice. However, I can’t tell a couple things. Are you running 4-blade props? If so, I’m going to guess a 3-blade prop will outperform the 4- blade with that new Armstrong bracket. And then you need to demo some different props and see which one performs the best for your needs. I’m going to guess you can improve both your speed and MPG with the new bracket. Oh well, just another video! You do a great job on this kind of stuff. Cheers!
Mike, can’t recall at the moment - but a 3-blade will certainly out perform a 4-blade when it comes to certain aspects, like top-end numbers - but with the CG change, one downfall to the bracket may be needing more trim tabs and also a 4-blade to lift the transom when planing and to prevent porpoising. Now, this can be offset by shifting weight forward in the boat, too. But, we agree, testing some other prop options is always a good idea! Biggest note - Adam was already seeing the performance gains of a bracket with his Porta-Bracket, hence the very small change in numbers on plane. Those gains came from simply moving the engine aft. Adam’s gains were mainly at rest. So, his engines were most likely already setup prop wise correctly for this setup. Now, if he had no bracket before, then it would be back to the drawing board completely for prop setup, absolutely! Thank you for the kind words and we aim to keep this kind of content coming!
Angle on the bracket looks off
We can assure you the angle is dead on :) they actually add some degree to it compared to the transom to provide some more negative tuck to help with planing 👍
Im glad to see the project dream boats come back to youtube Capt. George. The boat guys from Texas all wish we lived in South Florida.
We’re going to keep it coming, thanks for tuning in!
Can you add what the costs were?
We’ll work on getting some rough costs!
looks good
Capt George knows boats and he has great advice on how to improve them to better your needs. Years ago I added a bracket to my 23ft Formula and was amazed the difference it made going from a stern drive to an outboard on a flotation bracket. Our Formula was already a great riding boat but now with the outboard on a flotation bracket it even improved it. Adam would have noticed bigger improvements in performance if he did not already have the engines on a bracket before. Now Adams customers will have more room and feel safer with no water coming in the boat.
We’re very proud to have Capt. LaBonte as one of our hosts! He’s the best!

lol wanna be “commercial” fisherman and content creator. Lives at home with mommy and daddy.
He's a nice young guy who works very hard at fishing and running a RUclips channel, what difference does it make where he lives?
He’s a wanna be fisherman. No skills. He’s commercial one day charter captain the next RUclipsr that afternoon. Kid doesn’t know what he is. But he’s certainly not anything more than a recreational fisherman who thinks it’s cool to do commercial fishing. Kid can’t even gaff or cut fish.
jealous much lol the fact you talking about another man like that shows you are a little beta boy lol or a girl who knows lol
@@peterk814He's a young man making his own way. Why the commercial charter capt hate? He's not at home playing video games all day. His youtube channel helps him get new clients who want to hire him to take them fishing. It's free advertising for his charter business.
@@peterk814he’s driven - he’s running multiple gigs, sounds like a ton of work, if you ask us. He also grew up fishing with some of the best fisherman in the industry. We’d say he has some skills. Let’s leave the personal attacks off our page and keep it to talking about boat performance 👍
Was this before or after he replaced the fuel tank?
Before 😢
That boat would’ve been better of as a nice wreck
Ya’ think?
How's the ride on that boat? I'm deciding between the new Parker 26cc or the bluewater 25t or 2550.
Depends what your looking for Adam does alot of fishing at anchor and with customers so the parker was the right boat for him to be stable at anchor. Parkers have pretty low deadrise at the transom. The blue water is an offshore missile with sharp deadrise back at the transom. It will eat the waves but tend to rock and roll more at anchor or drifting
@@Turbotalkin Roger that. Looking for that balance. Something that'll eat up the waves but not rock and roll either. Guess there's no perfect vessel. I don't have the Pockets for a freeman or Costa.
@@waterskipilot145 I run a 35 hammercat for a guy the ride is amazing offshore moved up from a 33 invincible cat. Big cats are king I can stay on plane at 17mph run through 6-8s at 25mph or blast out on a smooth day at 50
@@waterskipilot145 I like 25 hydrasport vector hulls 25 and 26ft Makos 26ft grady 27 conch 25 contenders 25 seavee all great boats the Bluewater is right there with em with minor hull differences theres a huge difference between 21.5 degrees and 24 degrees in the way the boat rides
Everyone here covered this topic quite well 👍
Looks Great Adam!! Hope the bracket solves your issue. Can’t wait to see you test it out! I had the same problem on an old restored Mako and the Armstrong bracket totally solved the problem. Thanks for the video I enjoyed it.
There’s no doubt in my mind I’ll take my business to Mission Boating for any future mod needs! Great and informative work!
@@MarkFraley-uc4vpthank you! Love to hear this, we’ll keep ‘em coming!
Love watchin movin weight and used to love watching project dream boat. Keep it coming guys!!
Thanks! There’s more coming and it’s only going to get better!

Why are your anodes painted?
Armstrong has become so ridiculously expensive. You should let the viewers know that a twin 200 suzuki outboard bracket is nearly $6k now. If you're not a sponsored RUclipsr, shop around, you can get one for half that.
They are not the cheapest - but they are the best and maybe one of the only “brands” that builds each bracket fully custom, every time. Most other household names have off the shelf brackets.
Just a promotion advertisement for Armstrong brackets 😊😂😊

porta brackets are not the hot set up There is a reason why float brackets have been around so long. they work
Should take that think to the scales and weight it and compare to what it weighted from Parker and see how much water is in the foam in the hull
Knowingly overloading your boats capacity and endangering the lives of passengers is at best unprofessional.
❤🎉... very nice.. Thank you...🙏
Poor Adam’s just getting beat up over here. His Parker was a better purchase than my Seacraft that’s for sure, and he’s dying to make it work. Let him have it, he’ll do well.
But if he doesn’t there’s a 31 contender in his neighborhood that’s looking to pay for itself.
upload in 4k footage looking a tad bit grainy
Footage is sharp as can be - must be internet on your end!
I have a 2005 36 contender that needs a Repower just don’t have the capital 😢
Can't wait to see the next episode
Maybe run the brackets up a bit? Looks like theyre real low at takeoff
They look buried
He will definitely see an improvement. Good luck
Thank you, stay tuned!
Adam, buy a new boat!!!!
It’s a great boat! Just needs a little fix!
I would have tried the Sharrow props 1st. They totally fixed all of my squat, cavitation, & slip.
The prop won’t give the transom flotation at rest 😉 but, certainly could help with hole shot and other on-plane performance.
You guys do great work. But you can’t put lipstick on a pig. Adam’s talking about 1000lbs of fish. He’s never had a 1000lb day. It’s his old boat soaked through with water.
We’d have to confirm, but fairly positive he’s had his share of 1000LB days kingfishing. Nonetheless, not lipstick. Watch the whole series! It’s simple really, adding positive flotation can do amazing things. You’ll be impressed.
I too agree it’s not lipstick on a pig, however I do not miss my older Parker 25. They really are built like shit, the floors and stringers just rot out and the foam inhales water. On top of all that they just ride awful. Now he has a new tank in the floor and a new deck, and the boat looks awesome, but it still will never ride good.
Love Adam’s channel!
Hope you enjoy this series with him! Was great to work with!
you are towing with a 1/2 ton truck?
Wow, bagus banget boat Fishing, yang mewah, kecepatannya sangat luar biasa,, 👍👍👌👌
This is the exact mold of my 2007 century 2102 . This mold has been sold to few manufacturers. It’s an excellent riding dry bay boat. I love my 2007 had to see its still being made . It was beautiful then and beautiful now .
