🍓 Making My First Sticker Sheet (for My Small Art Business) | STUDIO VLOG
This week, I made my first sticker sheet using my cricut explore 3 and canon pixma g3270 printer, on online labels standard white matte sticker paper. I'm on a journey to create a small art business, and sticker sheets are one of the first products I'd like to start making. The process did not go smoothly lol. I had a lot of ups and downs and went through a ton of trial and error (as well as a ton of paper). I think I finally created something I'm happy with though. :)

We're also chatting about perfectionism and negative self talk; why it harms more than it helps, and ways to battle it. 🤎 You don't need to be perfect. Your best is good enough. 🌼 MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO 🌼 Here's a great 2-part video on cognitive distortions (not by me): t.ly/lTgwg t.ly/TuWwP Cla...

My journey back into art 🍄 Studio vlog #1: Clay forest spirits
Просмотров 2542 месяца назад
A cozy studio blog where I paint and resin clay figurines (shaped like whimsical forest creatures and spirits), sculpted from air dry clay and painted with gouache. Narrating a relaxing storytime of how I got into art, and how I found it again. My plans for creating a small art business, and getting to know me a little. 🌼 STUDIO VLOGS 🌼 #1 Starting Over | Clay Forest Spirits - t.ly/wsJtB #2 Pro...
omg in love with all of them <3
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU BABY!
One random click and because I'm in the exact same boat. I need to work out how to use this cricut! Our little conversation by subtitles was strangely charming. New subbie ^_^
Muy cool ^^
❤❤❤
Wow
I don’t know why YT recommended your video to me but I had a good laugh. You have a great sense of humor!
You intrigued me with the "sickly Victorian child" comment and got my full attention when you joked about leaping from instagram model to witness protection 😂 I have a Silhouette machine and it is as tempremental as it comes so I had a good laugh at your problems (and my sympathy for it being grumpy and not wanting to work). You earned a sub here on YT and a follow on Cara
hahaha thanks so much. I'm glad I found another who can commiserate. 😅
I really enjoyed this video, very soothing voice
Thank you. :) I'm glad you liked it!
Love it! Do you create custom requests illustrations? Let me know. great art work!
Heya! You know, I've never done a custom request for anyone, other than friends in real life, so you'd be my first customer! 😅 but if youre okay with that, sure, send me an email at itsvesperart@gmail.com and we can talk about it! 🍓
Hello, i from Brazil. Mas me falta tempo. Preciso me organizar. 😊 😊😊
Thank you so much for sharing your story. 💝 I hope google translate will translate our replies well enough that we can understand each other! 😅 I feel really happy that I'm reaching other artists like me from across the world. I liked your point about art being an extra chromosome in our DNA, thats really insightful and accurate, hehe. And yes I would love to be able to send "happy mail" to people, it seems so fun. I dont have enough confidence yet to start a Patreon, but maybe in a few months or a year. I would also like to be able to do giveaways for new products. Since I'm so new to making many of these things, I worry that they arent the best quality yet, so if I could give away some things to people who'd enjoy them, they could give me feedback in return to improve. 💖 anyway, thank you so much for following my journey and sharing with me. I appreciate you. 🥰

Thank you, friend!
Yikes, growing pains eh? Good for you for sticking with it, that would have been so frustrating. Loved seeing your face and dang you look good with your hair down and that lipstick was just on point! Then I so related when you said 'back into sweatpants to go back to work', cause I'm all for comfort myself too...heck, I'd drop my kids off in my PJ's if I really felt that was appropriate, lol.
Ahaha yes. I used to be sooo high maintenance in my 20s and then one day I was just like, “what am I doing this for?” Now I live for comfort and the more I just do and wear what I want, the more restricting that old stuff feels - especially after starting working from home a few years ago. The only reason I even put on makeup is because I have resistant adult acne (boooo). I’m actually starting a new treatment for that soon, so if it works, I probably won’t bother with makeup anymore either, except on special occasions.😅
Omg i love the editing
Thanks, Linh! 💝
This is really adorable. 💙💜🩷
Thank you! I made it as a gift for a friend :) maybe some day I'll make them for my future shop 😄
Great video, i enjoyed this where you are talking to the camera 😊 ( the previous videos are nice too) and i can relate to the same issues you were having 😅
Aww, thank you! And yeah, honestly its been a huge learning curve for me - I had no idea what I was getting myself into 😅 I'm working on my next sticker sheet now, so I think it will go a bit smoother. Well, I hope. Lol
@@ItsVesperArt huge learning curve indeed! 😅 Really nice stickers! It’s fun to branch out! Good luck with the next Sticker sheet! 👍🌸
@@NimAndThings it is really fun to branch out - I also plan on trying polymer clay shortly! I want to make keychains.
Such a satisfying transition!
It was so relaxing to listen to you❤
Haha thanks Faz, listening to my own voice for hours (and hours and hours) while editing didnt make me feel very relaxed but Im glad someone likes my voice hahaha 🤭
Omg Hayley, it was amazing 😍
Thanks for this video. Came at a good time and was really comforting and helpful. And also makes me want to get into clay making! :)
Hey! You're so welcome. It makes me really happy to know my videos helped someone! 💖 and yes, you should definitely try clay. Its so much fun and you can make a million different things with it. I plan on trying polymer clay soon too, because it seems to be so popular - there must be a reason. Just gotta figure out what to make first. 🤔
This video isn't perfect but I hope you like it. :p🌷Next time, we're making sticker sheets and I seriously cannot wait. :D
Lovely art, so cute!! If I can give you one tip, the voice over captions you added are super lovely, but it becomes a bit crammed with your added text comments. At least, that's my opinion. You can ditch or ignore it, all good 😊. If people want captions, RUclips does have that as an option that viewers can turn on.
Thank you, I always appreciate feedback in the form of constructive criticism. :)
Hopped on over here from Mimimoo's channel. I'm glad I did!! Girl, you have a gift. Your story telling is so compelling and just drew me right in. I can learn from you in that aspect. I am also an artist, and if I'm not mistaken, you are somewhere in Canada. There aren't many other places that have 'Provinces' or snow in April, lol 😜. I am in BC. I am an acrylic painter, mostly painting animals and working on my hyperrealism skills. I am trying to make a come back on RUclips, but being a single mom of 4 proves to be challenging time wise. So my progress is slow and my business is non existent (for now). But just like you I have a dream of turning my art into an income. Happy to follow your journey.
Hi Mimi! Thank you for taking the time to visit and leave your story! Yes, you're right, I'm in Canada, too :) I'm originally from NS but am now in ON. It could only be Canada with snow in April, eh? Did you get a chance to see the northern lights this weekend? I have a friend in Vancouver who saw them and they looked amazing. Sadly, I could see nothing from my balcony - just the regular dark cloudy sky :') Thank you so much for the kind words about my video - I'm really trying to incorporate stories and cinematography to my channel to make it feel really... my own? If that makes sense? Anyway, happy painting!
@@ItsVesperArt I went out last night as there were stunning photo’s of the lights captured right here in Kelowna from Friday night. Unfortunately all I saw were stars and a crescent 🌙. That was beautiful too but I was hoping for a breathtaking light show. NS is on my bucket list as well as Niagara Falls. I’m not originally from Canada 🇨🇦 so there’s so much I still want to see. I’m from The Netherlands 🇳🇱 but immigrated in my early 20’s. I’m excited to follow your journey as an artist and RUclips content creator. I have a feeling you’re going to grow fast. Well, time to actually do something on this Mother’s Day cause my double sinks are full of dishes and laundry still doesn’t fold itself 🤨🫤.
Such a beautiful, calming video! You tell stories so well, can't wait to see the growth of this channel! 🥰💖
Oh my gosh it's Mimimoo! It means a lot to me that you took the time to visit me. :) Thank you so much for the kind words. 💝😭
Your art is amazing, they are beautiful and cute 😍
Thank you Fazzy 💖😭 now if I just practice for 10 more years itll be as good as yours was 10 years ago :p you need to start your own channel!!
Everything in this video is what I need to hear now. Hi there! I'm from Thailand. I don't think I have watched something similar to this recently and we are obviously living in a different region but somehow, your video found me! Just minutes ago I found myself deep in (negative) thoughts thinking that I'm totally lost and just going without any directions. So I decided to write a journal to at least clear my head. After journaling, I opened RUclips and found your video on my feed. Thank you so so much for sharing at such a perfect timing, at least for me. I never knew I needed this. It is a great reminder to don't forget to trust the universe (or whatever it is called). My story is surprisingly pretty much like yours, been everywhere and I don't even know what exactly is 'my thing'. So hearing your story reminds me that I'm really not alone and that I also have what it takes, just takes time. Hope this comment help you realize that you've lighten up someone across the world. And that person is really thankful. I'm rooting for your art journey (the magnets are really cute!). Have a very very lovely day/ night :)
Thank you so much for sharing, it really means a lot to me! I feel really happy hearing that I brightened up your day :) I have confidence that you'll find your place in the world - just keep exploring and taking care of yourself!
ugh, this is just what I needed to listen to and watch while doing my spring cleaning. I absolutely love your style!
I'm so glad to hear it - thank you for the compliment too! I'm still working on figuring out exactly what my style is, but I feel like I'm getting a little closer. Now if I could only get to that spring cleaning too :P
Soo cute, your magnets! And I found myself in your words, thank you ❤
Thank you, I'm really happy to hear that - and I'm glad it resonated with you. 🥹🌻
If you want to hear the beginning of this story, check out my last vlog where I chat about my beginnings in art, revisiting it in my 30s, and making my first airdry clay figurines - some happy little forest spirits. 🌲🌲
It was so inspiring for me Hayley, also I missed you so much while I was watching it , you're an amazing friend and artist ❤
Thank youuuuuu 😭🥹💖 I hope I can visit soon. I'll be waiting forever for you to make a channel of your own. If anyone should be sharing their art, its you.
Which one is your favorite? :)
Your story is so inspiring. I hope you will make your dream come true and inspire others.
Thank you. I’ll try my very best. 💚
Do you have a similar journey to share? I’d like to hear it. 🌷 Check back for part two in about a week’s time.
It looks great so far! I think u should paint him a dark green?
Thank you! 💖 I do love dark green. He has a bunch of other friends I'll be painting, too. I want to make them each unique, but also sorta go together? Maybe I should come up with a colour palette as a guide.
What colour should I paint him? 💖
