How I Organize Our Toys | Nearly Montessori
If your family is anything like mine, your kids have a lot of toys. They just seem to accumulate! They get some for birthdays and Christmas and then more on Easter and maybe Halloween and then a few just because Grandma felt like it or because it was on sale... and then there's the bin full of Happy Meal Toys...it's a lot. One thing my husband and I decided was that we weren't going to keep a lot of toys in our house. Our house isn't huge and we don't have a "toy room" so most of the toys are right in our living room. To keep things looking nice and easy to clean up, we decided to be more minimal with our children's toys.

Trying Out Montessori
Просмотров 424 года назад
I've always heard about Montessori Parenting but never thought I could do it. I don't have the white, pristine, perfectly organized house that so many Montessori parents have. But once I actually looked into it and did some research I realized that the Montessori Method is about so much more than aesthetic organization. It's a whole method of teaching and raising children that goes back to the ...
Gentleness in Motherhood | Handling Big Emotions
Просмотров 394 года назад
For the last three weeks I have been working on developing my gentleness as I parent my children. Specifically I have been applying gentleness to how I handle my kids' big emotions. How can I be gentle with them when they are overwhelmed with what they are feeling? These three weeks have taken me on quite a journey from being "over-gentle" to (hopefully) "just-gentle-enough". I learned so much ...
Raising Godly Children
Просмотров 1174 года назад
I want to raise my children to know God. For several reasons. I want them to know who God is, know who Jesus is, know what he has done for us, and know how much he loves us. But how do I teach my children this? How do I show them His love in a way that actually sticks? How can I raise my children so that when they are grown they can make their faith real to them? How can I raise them to love ot...

I love taking the opportunity to write down things I want to keep doing in the new year and things I want to start doing too. This video is me sharing that list. Some of these things I have been doing for years and want to keep...
Self-diagnosing Postpartum Depression
Просмотров 334 года назад
How do you know if you have postpartum depression? It can be a tricky thing to self-diagnose. Do I have the baby blues? Am I just hormonal? Am I just not cut out for motherhood? How can I be sure that I actually have PPD? I spent six months asking myself these questions with my first child. And I wish I had the answer sooner. Those six months were awful for me and my family and my poor mental h...
How I Make Time For My Husband
Просмотров 234 года назад
Do you ever feel like you don't have any time for your husband? Like, after a full day of working and caring for the kids, you just don't have any energy left to give your husband at the end of the day? Well, I certainly feel that way. As a mother, it can be so hard to make time for the people you love, even your husband. By the time he comes home I am touched-out, talked-out, and ready for a t...
Self-Control In Motherhood | Finding Balance
Просмотров 184 года назад
The last three weeks I've been working on my self-control. I'm doing this as part of my Fruit of the Spirit study. While I knew this would be a difficult thing for me to work on, I did not know just how much I would be challenged to develop my self-control. I have definitely learned a lot when it comes to how to control my impulses and desires but what I've really learned is more about balance....
The Problem With Mommy Culture
Просмотров 1394 года назад
Do you ever feel like you just don't fit in with popular mommy culture? Or like there's something just...off about it? Well I do. I've noticed a few things that are...well...problematic about today's mommy culture. As mothers we are a lot of things. We all might parent differently and believe differently and live differently but at our cores we are all the same: moms. That's what mommy culture ...

Handling Tantrums | Causes And Solutions

Feeling Like a Bad Mom

We've all been there. We all have days we don't feel proud of. Days where we just feel like a bad mom. We yell, we lose our patience, we get angry, we wish we were alone, we want a day off. Even the best of us struggle with feeling like we are somehow screwing this all up. The other day I had a really rough morning that resulted in me feeling like a horrible mom. My Morning Routine As A Stay At Home Mom

Setting up a good morning routine is so important to me as a mom. I have two to three hours in the morning before my kids wake up so I make sure to make the most of them. 7 Tips To Help Your Children Get Along │Mom Talk
Thank you for this!♥️💯
Omg this is me exactly
I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this too. I’m currently in therapy and taking medication. I have also visited a psychiatrist. It is good to ask for help when you need it. You will get through this mama! You are exactly the mama your children need. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. PPD is not meant to go through alone.
If the like button could be a loving support button.
aww, thank you!
What medication worked for you?
I take Zoloft.
Great video!👏🏻👏🏻 I sort my 11mo toys by throwing them into a big tub🤣🤣 New subscriber! Let’s support each other?💗💗
Thanks for the sub! I will check out your channel.
Anna Rose thank you so much! I hit the bell!💗🔔
Wheeeeeeew Mama, there’s no wonder that we as women have little energy left at the end of the day. I too myself have all these things I like to do but hearing it all outloud like a massive list of ongoing goals/upkeep...if I was a man I might look at myself like “😐 but why”...... My goals include avoiding consumerism when possible, not purchasing things that promote happiness but do not deliver. It’s easy to purchase things in order to feel good momentarily but once your home is spewing with things, it’s a constant battle of managing stuff and it’s just unnecessary stress which all goes hand in hand with minimalism and decluttering and not bringing more things in. Another goal is practicing contentment, especially when it comes to cleaning the house, sometimes I focus too much on the house and then I have zero energy left to play with the kids, so rather than find a plan where I can accomplish it all, coming up with a strict plan of limiting time cleaning to where accomplishing it all isn’t the goal, figuring out what really matters and what can be left alone, accomplishing some instead of all and not putting other more enjoyable things on the backburner Also, consistent self care and breaks. I often don’t get a sitter until I am at a breaking point and in dire need of me time and then I promise myself I’m going to get one once a week for a few hours or every other week and never stick to it. I’d also love to start getting a massage every other month consistently just because I would enjoy it and life is short so why not. I live away from family and get SAHM burnt out after awhile.
These are great goals! I love them all! I’m trying to avoid consumerism too. It’s just better all around. It’s hard being a SAHM with no family around. I hope you are able to keep up with your self care. You got this mama!
How do you sort your toys?
I really resonate with you. I feel like it’s literally me speaking with this video and your postpartum rage video. I tried to check out your instagram via the link in the postpartum rage video however the link is broken and says the page is removed. I’d love to know what anti-depressant you ended up going on that best helped rage. Much love 💗
hi, sorry it took me so long to respond. I no longer keep up my Instagram so that may be why you didn’t find it. I took Zoloft which helped a lot with my first two children. I have had a harder time managing needs this third time though. I have tried Wellbutrin which made me dizzy and I am now taking Pristiq and Abilify together. they seem to be helping. I am glad you resonated with these videos but sad you are experiencing this too. it can be so hard! You are a good mama and you will conquer this!

Hi, I'm glad this resonated with you but so sad that you are going through this too. Dealing with depression and rage is extremely difficult and the feelings of mom guilt on top of that are just so heavy. I took Zoloft for my depression and it started working within the week. I think it's a really common anti-depressant that is safe for breastfeeding moms. I encourage you to talk to your doctor and ask about it and see what options there are for you. I hope you are able to find healing. Sorry that my link isn't working...I will work on that. My instagram is @arosamiller. Thanks for the love!
Crying as I’m watching this.

Anyone else trying out Montessori Parenting this year?
Hey! I just subscribed to your channel. I enjoyed this video about gentleness. I'm going to try to remember this next time my toddler throws a tantrum! I just started a RUclips channel today too!!!
Sana Lari Hi! Thanks for the sub! Toddlerhood is rough sometimes, right? I’ll check out your channel!
Who’s doing the faithfulness challenge with me?
Good video. I think teaching kids to respect authority is a big one. Kids these days are running the family and house hold. Children are commanded to obey their parents. Just raising kids to submit to the people in authority over them is a big one I see missing these days. Of course teach them to use discernment though.
Kevin B I agree. A lot of times we think we have to give in to our children in order to “not scar them”. It’s important to teach them to respect authority but we have to be an authority worth respecting, too!
Worth? God puts people in authority over us has nothing to do with them. Kinda like a wife she submits to her husband not based off his actions but because it glorifies God and his authority is not earned but God given. Not sure worthy is a good word here but I get what you're trying to say lol. Train kids up right and godly.
I see what you're saying but I believe we should be worthy of respect in the same way God is worthy of our worship and devotion. My goal as a mother is to be as close to Jesus as I can be. Being more like him makes me more worthy of respect. I cannot expect my kids to respect me if I do not guide them in a kind, loving, and godly way.
But God doesn't have to earn our respect or be worthy He already is. I get what you're saying but the whole have to show respect to get respect thing is so not biblical. I just think people should be careful about throwing the word worthy around. You have a good channel and your heart is in the right place :).
I’ve been off sugar for awhile. It is very helpful!
J M that’s awesome! Any tips? Do you still use honey/maple syrup/monk fruit?
I love these ideas. I really want to work on screen time management for myself. I’m so glad I found your channel. I look forward to watching your videos. 👏🏻😉
J M yay! Screen time is so hard for me! My biggest struggle is during naps when I just want to sit on the couch and scroll Instagram...🤦🏻♀️
Shoutout to my Christian mamas out there! Hang in there!
What are you trying this year?
When did you know that you had PPD?
Shout out to all the young mamas out there!
How do you handle tantrums?
Been feeling like a bad mom lately? Cuz I sure have!

I wish that this can be in Spanish to share with more people
Mayrin Gutiérrez Castillo I might be able to create Spanish subtitles for my videos. I can look into it.
Wow Anna this is amazing. God keeps blessing your life!
Mayrin Gutiérrez Castillo thank you Mairyn!
You are not alone, mama. You’ve got this. Much love to you.
Wow. I’m 7 months postpartum, and can relate to every single word of that letter. I’m unusually angry since the delivery, and couldn’t figure out what it was.
@@pratchin The anger can be so confusing because no one mentions that as a symptom of PPD. You are not alone. It is totally fine to go see a doctor if that’s what you feel like you need. I know you will get through this mama!
What are some of your favorite baby items?
It is hard to love your postpartum body. How are you working to accept the new body you have?
Do you have any questions about me? Type them below and I will answer them. Thanks for watching!

Good advice Anna! Very thoughtful.
