Very nice, I love seeing other couples , like my 2 older sons & their families live like we taught them . Not letting the wonderful ways of our ancestors just die . It makes me & my husband so happy to see others , starting a homestead , growing their own food ,continuing trades ,having bee's , etc. Etc . Im very grateful my oldest son & dil blessed us with 2 beautiful granddaughters who love to learn all the old ways . Not like many of their old school friends that ,never knew how to garden ,let alone bake , and their parents wonder why the children act up . Im so glad my DIL along with other moms have decided to home school . If schools were the way they are now I also woild have home schooling my children. I look forward to your content . The green potatoes are due to light exposure and become toxic for eating. Not due to being unripe. Stores who know cover them at night when the store is closed to the public to avoid extra light exposure. Glad you found better potatoes from azure. I keep mine in the fridge if I'm not going to use them right away, keeps them fresh and avoids sprouting.

Great haul! You may want to avoid green potatoes, they are not stored properly and start producing a chemical that can upset your digestion. Love the name Edgar Allen Dough!!

Dune is indeed a strange sci fi book. I was told that it's intended to mirror the story of Mohammed, if that helps you with context. But it's also important to remember that just because others enjoy certain pieces of literature doesn't mean you have to. Sometimes it's a book that was influential and revolutionary in the genre that has since been imitated -- if you want to try another version of the story that you find more accessible.

We love Azures frozen produce. It is such a great way to save money and always have what you want on hand especially things you can’t grow.

I absolutely adored 11/22/63, The Stand and East of Eden. I think you might enjoy other books that I love: The Evening and the Morning, The Pillars of the Earth, World Without End by Ken Follett, Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer, The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, The Green Mile by Stephen King.

Great choice of books. The Stand and 11/22/63 are two of my favorite books. I'm not a big western reader, but I loved Lonesome Dove and the audio book was fantastic. It's been many years since I read East of Eden. I had to read it in high school, but I remember enjoying it. Thanks for sharing.

Such a great selection. 11/22/63 is definitely my favorite of King although I haven't read The Stand yet (yes, I know lol). East of Eden & Lonesome Dove I have seen people talk about a lot this year. I have both on my TBR and hope to get to at least get to East of Eden by the end of the year.

Adorable cat!! 11/22/63 is a great book. My husband and I both enjoyed it. East of Eden is a book I keep putting off but I know I'll love so not sure why I haven't gotten to it yet. Same with Lonesome Dove. I always thought of Lonesome Dove as a "guy book" but I have spoken to quite a few females lately who adored it. I have put off big books for some time now but I'm getting back into slow reading so I think I"m ready to dive back into the big bricks :)
