How To Adjust Wahl Clippers The Right Way
In this video I explain how to adjust the blade and the power of a Wahl 5 Star Senior. All you need is the clipper itself (of course) and a philips head screwdriver. I also explain how the motor works which will ultimately affect how we adjust the clipper.

    Thank you for your great explanation. From this I have gleaned the following and have put it here for easy reference for everyone: Wahl Blending Clipper Lengths: Closed lever: 0 (shortest) Open lever: +0.5 (same as half guard) With #0.5 guard (i.e. 'half guard') + lever half open: Gives 0.75 cut With #0.5 guard (i.e. 'half guard') + lever full open: Gives 1.0 cut (same as 1 guard with lever closed) With #1 guard + lever half open: Gives 1.25 cut With #1 guard + lever full open: Gives 1.5 cut (same as 1.5 guard with lever closed) With #1.5 guard + lever half open: Gives 1.75 cut With #1.5 guard + lever full open: Gives 2.0 cut (same as 2 guard with lever closed) With #2 guard + lever half open: Gives 2.25 cut With #2 guard + lever full open: Gives 2.5 cut (same as 2.5 guard with lever closed) Thumbs up if you agree!

    Thank you so much and so sincerely Ace. This has been one of the biggest pains in my ass as a bald guy that uses a shaver twice a week. I've never been able to adjust a new head correctly. This works perfectly and it's quiet too! Amazing. Thank you Thank you!

    Nice, why do people call a zero (no guard) a 0.5?? I get confused at this as I think they mean a 0.5 guard...

    • @LakituKoopa
      @LakituKoopa Год назад

      Not sure but I guess this is because using clippers without a guard never cuts your hair down to 0 and leaves always stubble. 0 could be a razor shave.

    Sorry I get the concept… but I’m still a bit confused. I’m someone who’s learning how to fade to cut my own hair and my sons. So to clarify, this video explains blending down between a 2 guard CLOSED > 1 guard OPEN… you’ll need a 1-1/2 guard HALF OPEN… to take out the line… Majority of the fade tutorials, the authors all use 1 + 2 guards OPEN, rarely do they close… 🤔 So what’s the best way to blend between a 1 Guard OPEN > 2 guard OPEN????
