I'd like this to be a useful resource for people like me (i.e., those in the Process of Development) who are trying to better understand and try out some of Vygotsky's ideas. I don't know much, but I try to chat with those who do.
Many of these videos are available in audio-only form at Vygotsky Podcast: tiny.cc/0rgmsz
*I post other (non-Vygotsky) stuff too depending on my current interest or mood. Enjoy!

Readers of literature tend to have rich imaginations which can sometimes be a barrier to parsing information in the world. On the other hand, literary skills can be great armor in the battle against information pollution. Here are a few tools. A Tale of Two Stories - David Kellogg on Vygotsky
Просмотров 1162 года назад
David Kellogg discusses key challenges to talking about Vygotsky in public-friendly ways (main reason: it's hard, for teachers and learners). Storytelling, he says, can create helpful meeting points between concrete and abstract ideas, provided the stories aren't too misleading. After discussing various difficulties, David offers two stories as a means of explaining Vygotsky's main project. Hig...
Call for Help: John Thorne on the art of analysis
Просмотров 2812 года назад
John Thorne answers the call and helpfully shares how he approaches challenging texts. We discuss John’s newest book (tiny.cc/d270vz), a 300 page interpretive review of “Twin Peaks: The Return” (2017), and even non-viewers of Twin Peaks will find value in John’s mindset and approach to analysis. It was a true pleasure talking with one of my favorite writers!

TE DIJE ADIOS CUANDO MAS TE QUERÍA, TE DIJE ADIOS SABIENDO QUE COMO HIERRO CANDENTE EN MI ALMA DOLERÍA TE AMÉ COMO JAMÁS NUNCA YO HABÍA AMADO Y COMO NUNCA CONTIGO ME SENTÍ YO AMADO TE DEJO MI ALMA Y MI CORAZÓN DESANGRADO Y POR DOQUIERA QUE YO VAYA , ESTE AMOR PREGONARÉ A TAL GRADO, QUE MORIRÉ EN UN MAR DE LLANTO POR LO MUCHO QUE TE HUBE AMADO.
I believe it is. Ever since I heard this interview I've been talking about it constantly, with other people longing for a term to describe something like this stage of personal/moral development. Not only is it helpful for understanding the world, it is the kind of concept that learning about can improve your life. Much like learning about 'FOMO' helped me laugh at that anxiety program running in the background and go back to enjoying hte present. I'm assuming by the fact that you took the effort to chop this up and upload it that you agree. Thank you for doing so.
