Now that ive listen to this tape for the umpf teenth 1000th time (at least 100 x's) if i can recall correctly....that sound after RUN AWAY is call DEFINITION OF A TRACK or HOW TO DOG A TRACK, i should've look it before hand but 80 hour work weeks ain't no joke.
Someone below left a comment that Merlin was and or is better that Tony, Timmy or David Morales . . . .well they're different styles , if i had to choose b/w a style that was similar . . . i'll say it's Timmy's ,so based on what i'm hearing here and the one New Years Eve party i attended at Club Shelter(like 93 or 94 if i'm not mistaken) . . . .He struck me as a decent replacement, but Timmy has it.....i mean if i heard him for years and years then i could see differently. Timmy (to me) had that 3 turntable mix thing and at sonic levels on the volume. My only complaint of that version of Club Shelter was they didn't have LEVAN'S under the stacks, from the mid bass on up was flawless, sounded like glass!!!!
I do remember it. don't have it though but, i know so many DJ's from the NY- NJ area and i will put a shout out for it. i do have many Timmy Regisford shows though, Timmy was the best, he played the best music, very rare classics that even i with 40,000 12" singles don't have, I'm searching for some of timmy's work that he played back in the day, many he and boyd Jarvis made on reel to reel only. and were never released. but I can and will talk to timmy about them. he lives not to far from me
Hey djalsurdi67 would happen to have or know where i could get a copy of WLBS's salute to THE PARADISE GARAGE mix. I had it when it first aired but you know the story, let someone check it out and alakazam its gone!!!
Are you crazy? Timmy Regisford and Boyd Jarvis Blew Tony Humphries, Merlin Bobb and any other DJ on WBLS and 98.7 kiss away!!!! Only David Morales played well on 98.7 and The Latin Rascles if you love Editing, Rascles were the kings Edits. But Timmy played the best music, with lots of rare classics, and very smooth blending.
Ten minutes after the helicopter flew into the sky. Maxwell didn’t make it
