    It would be cool if the capital (first settlement) had some kind of incentive to protect it: e.g. maybe troops can be "trained"(turned into generals) or upgraded somehow at the capital.

    I think it would be cool if you could upgrade your units for example: a frigate could upgrade to a galleon and has certain upgrades like holding more than one unit, but this will take out simplicity and maybe it fits better for an expansion

      ​@@julianbirkethat would be an interesting concept, I know you are sticking to an era, but maybe you could do an expansion with units from later in time as the game progresses?

      ​@@nathaniellazo5912I definitely think there's room for expansions. I think it'd be more like the same game and rules, just set in different era's, instead of progressing through time though. It'd probably be a pretty lengthy game and require a lot of pieces to advance through time.

    how do you trade in this game? i know you trade with you'r own colonies. but i don't feel like i fully understand this

      @@janj6089 you basically just trade with the deck. Default trade in is 5:1, then -1 for each port you build until 1:1. I dont have an option to trade with other players because i think it's be too similar to Catan.
