I love this version. The choir's excitement and overlapping voices reflect what I imagine the world's populace would express as they are carried away by their lost loved-ones' embraces.

Am I the only one that thinks this sounds a lot like an early Gorillaz song in some ways? 2:23 "Ah, Ah, Ah, Ahhh!" sounds JUST like The transition between Gorillaz - "Don't Get Lost in Heaven" and the next track "Demon days" - I almost feel like Damon was inspired by this. How cool. The mixture of very emotional music and then such a happy sounding choir is so unique, and so beautiful. The track names even fit with Eva. Don't Get Lost In The Fanta...

They should have added the part with all the cheering during the "Congratulations!" scene I love this, I was wondering wtf a KICA-155 was, and I ended up finding an alternate version of a song that means a huge deal to me. Thank you for this ♥

There was a time in my life when I kept all my songs on iTunes sorted by play count. The top ten were always somewhere in the hundreds...and then there was Komm, Susser Tod, with over 5000 plays. Loop after loop, nights spent lying in bed with headphones on, unable to sleep. The lyrics became a mantra that never, ever left my head. I've grown past that phase of my life, but those years left a very permanent mark, and one that sometimes demands to be remembered. Even when life becomes a torture you inflict on yourself, you can move forward and become stronger for having known and lived through suffering. Thank you. Farewell. And congratulations.

i finished the movie i havent stopped listening to this song on repeat. Its been 10 hours.

End of Evangelion was despair and hope at the same time. I'll probably never watch it over again because the film bruised my mental health by being so unrelentingly dark and bloody, but the songs will remain engraved in my heart, not because they are so brutal, but as a reminder that life can be redeemed even if it has to start over from step one.
