Bravo!!I 👍👍
Thank you!
Wow, you are truly a fantastic musician. This is an amazing cover of such a special song. I have both subscribed and liked, and I can’t wait to listen to more of your covers of songs like these.
Thank you!
I'm a really big fan of music and outdoorsy stuff like this. Feels like I'm sitting around that fire too :)
Thank you. The location is accessible by canoe and it is extremely remote in Michigan’s upper peninsula…
I’ve never heard this before. It’s wonderful. Thank you
Hi! Thanks and you’re welcome. Written by Jackie DeShanmon,
New one for me but so beautiful
The writer of this wrote “City of New Orleans” he’s great!
Very nice, Tim. That's one I wasn't familiar with.
Thanks! It’s a Steve Goodman tune. One of my favorite singer/songwriters..😀
Thank you for a trip down memory lane! ❤
You’re welcome!
Awesome video Tim
Thanks!
I could just listen to you sing all day BT - so soothing Bro
Thanks my friend!🔥
Fun!!
You bet!
This is amazing, you have a very youthful sounding voice to my ears
Thank you! 76 years young!😀
How many retired musician. Keyboard player and singer. And I have to say. I like your version better than the original. More heart, more feeling. Nice job.
Thanks!
“O Brother where art thou” 😊
🔥
brings me back. thanks
Welcome!
Very nice, Tim. (and congrats on 500 subs!!)
Thanks! I had to look around to find that stat! I never paid attention to it.. kinda cool!
So lovely, I tried to do this one and could not get that picking pattern right. You have a done a beautiful job 😊
Thanks. It is actually rather difficult. I screwed it ip a couple times…
My mother is a Giant film and literature buff, I only know this song song from Oh Brother Where Art Thou. I genuinely didn't know this was a real song outside of film.
Written during the depression ..❤️
looove this song is so joyful
Agree! Thanks!
RIP John Hartford
A very good rendition Tim, thanks for posting.
You’re welcome, and thank you!
Really nice!!
Thanks!
Awesome! Embarrassed to say I’ve never heard this song until Billy Strings sang it on Halloween. What a great setting you have!
Thanks… I canoed about seven miles to this spot in the wilderness… only the Moose heard me😂 I’ll have to check out Billy’s version… I’m sure it’s awesome!
@ wow. Awesome. Not asking for details but what state is that in? Looks fantastic.
It is in the upper peninsula of Michigan a few miles from Lake Superior..😀 total wilderness,
@ love it! I’m in Grand Rapids… We go to the upper peninsula every August. :-) Maybe we can pick together sometime. Lol.
Let me know ! That would be cool- we could do a tune in my “studio”🔥
These songs should not ever be allowed to disappear from the history, kept alive somehow ..... thank you for posting, warmly
You’re welcome, and I agree!
Beautiful song, sir😭
Thanks!
thanks tim
You’re welcome
This song always makes me depressed. It seems like its such a wonderful place in contrast to the 8-5 grind many people find themselves stuck in. Furthermore, it makes the song all the more saddening knowing the hardships were likely just as or more harsh for those who lived in poverty during the time this song originated from. Just a thought tho :) (will edit this comment later because i cant put my thoughts down clearly at the moment)
I dig it! It was the 1930s, so many men riding the rails, hard hard times. My dad was a young adult in those times..
Love this song, well done as always!
Thank you!
Thank you!
This makes me feel like there might be some hope
There is!
What do you have coming through your headphones? Friends of mine practice with a metronome in theirs
No metronome just monitor my voice and guitar. If you were to put a metronome on my tunes you would see much tempo variation within each tune. This is a feature not a bug, and artists like James Taylor use it extensively. Also my guitar is tuned down two full steps from standard. Thanks for your interest!😀
@ I always want to learn something
@YvonneSchwartzYVON ❤️
Beautiful version of Kris’ song .
Thank you!
OMG this is gorgeous! Thank you!
You’re welcome and thank you!

@TheNitro540 thank you. 💕
I can tell you love this tune as much as I am hearing you play and sing it. Thank you so much. Looks like that fire is big enough for two. maybe someday I will join you abd we can pick a little.
You’re welcome!
Would love to sit in with ya with my mandolin. Great playing and singing sir.
Thankyou! If you ever get over by Lake Superior, we could do that! 🔥
Beautiful song, so well done! This is one of your best shares 😊
Thank you!
One of Lennon and McCartney’s best.

My grandkids are sick of it!😂
Totally fantastic! So mellow and perfect.
Thank you!
Keep it up...
Thanks! It’s folks like you that make me keep on keeping on!
I'm Canadian, and I love this old Americana. There's something timeless about American folk music. Great rendition!
Thank you! Agree!
The algorithm did NOT disappoint 🙌🏞🫶
Love it.! Thanks! Hope you will like a few of my other ones too!
Fantastic! Loved ELO, they had such a unique sound. Telephone Line was another great one. Great job doing an acoustic version of this 😊
Thanks. I know a couple of the guys in ELO from back in the day. They’re still doing ELO tunes. I wonder how they will take this?
@@BigTim5 I bet they like it, it shows what a great song it is that it can be covered with such a different style and still work. That’s my opinion, anyway, haha. How cool that you know them. Great band.
@gingersnap6183 nice people fer sure!
My dream is to sing this at a campfire, either with buddies or by myself in nature
Nothing better in the world!🔥
Wonderful!!!
Thank you much!
