Century Old Pond | Part II - 1945 CAT D7
Hi thanks for sharing your videos I love all of those old cats
Love that old d 7 she runs great I wouldn’t mind owning her myself
Turning radius is 9 city blocks 😂
I am thinking you are MORON, where I live in the Ozark mountains this area is full of roads like this "trail" , my driveway is 3/4 mile similar to this trail, Fed Ex has delivered here many times over the years with many different drivers. I am thinking you would complain regardless of the delivery outcome. Best thing for you to do is quit being a "Karen " and pick up you Dog food yourself and quit ordering it delivered. And yes, GPS will get you lost for sure, give the poor driver some credit for effort! You suck!🤪
What a goose! Stupid doesn't explain it?
Never trust the GPS that never been updated
as a otr driver for 35 years i will say this....PROFESIONALISM IN THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY/DELIVERY SERVICE IS GONE....NEVER TO RETURN, as seen here they will let any steering wheel holder drive .....
if in doubt walk it out
Fedex does stand for " Forget Expectations, Deliver Exceptional Xperiences."
idiot
“Dedication at every return”: hilarious! What a way to get dog food! I too have had some bad experiences with FedEx. The most infamous one was when I ordered jelly from Sam’s during Covid. (There were two large jars of jelly in the box.) FedEx pulled up in my driveway and threw the box at my front door from the bottom of eight stairs. It shattered the jelly and made a huge mess. I went up the chain and was on the phone for a long time trying to report the driver. But I don’t know whatever happened to my complaint! At least I didn’t have to pull him out of a creek! That’s one way for me to look at it.
Great video
What a big project!
It's been a while! The lack of recent content is due to some technical difficulties, but we're back!! Keep an eye out for a HUGE new PROJECT! 👀
Strong old machine.
Engine air intake be chilling
Pretty sure I've seen one of these on display at the HoltCAT campus in San Antonio. Might be a resource for info or parts
Thanks for the tip!
Trying to push it all at once doesnt work one trèe at a time would get it done faster
They are still decent old dozers
The old machines had more torque and larger pistons with shorter strokes, therefore lower RPMs. The old reciprocating engines had a very distinct sound, just like the turbocharged engines did later. Unless you ran them out of oil or coolant, they will last a very long time.
Yall should make an obstacle course for the HEMTT!
Wow, that looked like an amazing show.
Would be sweet to turn that DW6 into a giant skid loader.
Put them bass in it!
So are y'all finished with the pond?
Not yet, we have a lot of "landscaping" to do which includes taking down some trees, planting grass, cleaning up the banks, and more! Stay tuned to see the progress!
That DW6 is freaking cool! That would be fun to own and drive.
You need to show us what the pool looks like when the water is back in it.
That's our next video! (Subscribe to never miss an update!)
Music over machine sounds again? Dam.
Thanks for the feedback! We're always looking for ways to make the videos better...
your hearing needs testing. i can hear the machines fine
Did you delete your reply to me...? I met Erik at George Louge's sale in PA some time ago and talked with him about Some early cat parts.
Oh I'm sorry! Yes, he's the one operating the DW6 and D7 in this video. Sweet!
Who is Erik with ChrisCo...?
Good video see you next time
Why did you have the bed of the trailer chained to the detatch?
Thanks for saving all the old iron. Love it!❤
Back when 800 was top rpm?
The Cat DW6 is a handy unit I would love to have it to just play around on. You guys are lucky to have it. 👍👍
No cab, no way.
You’ve done that before :o) Rubber boot tractor is a rare beast, nice to see them being kept going.
We have! Our friends @ChrisCoMachineryInc taught us a thing or two about moving and rigging! (Check out their channel, it's pretty cool!)
@@se-films I used to do it for a living between being a plant fitter. Anyone can keep it one round a bend, but when some dingbat pulls out of a side road . . . . :o)
😆 Sounds like you have some great stories about that job.
@@se-films I never hit a railway bridge, it’s a malicious rumour. So is the other stuff :D
😅
Don't break the cable again or as they use to tell me, we helped you once, next time is on you by yourself
😆
Y'all done good, now your ready for a WABCO C-Pull
Thanks!
I enjoy all the metal "Mac T" hard hats. Is this Ederville? Sweet toy box
It was Ederville 2023. Glad you like the hats!
Nice! Can’t wait to get my ‘40’s ish D4 Cable dozer going! It actually worked on the Alaska hiway which is really cool
Wow! The stories they could tell if they could talk!

I saw the full video on your channel page... great work!
First dozer i ever run was a cable dozer, great old machine!.
Awesome!
That old cable rig takes me back to my childhood. We had an old cable rigged D6 that we bought from an army surplus auction back in the early seventies. It didn’t have a starter you had to start this old Wisconsin robin gas engine that was a bitch to start, I’m telling you when I pull start one of these Honda motors today I about cry with joy every single time! My dad would send me out at 3:30 in the morning to get the dozer fired off, I’m telling you it’s a chore for a grown assed man! 🥵 I remember him telling me that one day you’ll appreciate this boy! I cursed him for three hours straight! Meanwhile my dad’s sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and moms making him biscuits and gravy! Man! Wtfh! Once you got that old beast of of motor running, and believe me it wasn’t easy because it didn’t even have one of those recoil start deals you had to wrap the rope every single time that biatch didn’t want to start! Lord lord lord! You had to fiddle with the choke and pull the plug and then if your dogma was in line with your chakra it would fire off! Then you had to pull the compression release so the diesel would spin freely and then you had to engage two clutches to start it, and half the time that killed the pony motor! 😤😳 yeah! So if you were lucky enough to get her spinning and then engage the pony and let her turn and then finally she would cough and woof and fire off maybe! What a beast she was! We had some adventures pushing stumps out of the ground and eventually we both became proficient on the dozer, by the time I was 14 I was running circles around my old man and he knew it! Then he had this epiphany to change the cables on that beast and save a few bucks, you know old school ranchers and by the time we got done we both looked like we had run through a mine field! We were sliced to ribbons! But looking back it makes me smile so thank you! You’re very fortunate to have videos of your adventures, don’t forget these days! 🇺🇸💪👊👍
Sounds like you had an exciting childhood! I've always enjoyed making these videos and having something to look back on in the years to come. Thanks for sharing your memories!
Are you supposed to run these old Cats at low RPM’s for efficiency, pushing power or something else I am not aware of? Maybe they were designed to be that way or this is how skilled operators run these older dozers?
I am no expert in RPM's and the effects that running the tractors at different speeds has, but as far as I know, it has no major effect on their efficiency. If you compare these older (40-60's) models to a newer CAT, the motors in them don't run as high as a newer model does.
Let me guess. Is the dogs name Dozer?
🤣 No, but he sure sticks with us.
old but gold nice to watch man 👍👍🚜🚜
I helped my dad build his pond dam and I was using a hd11 allis with a cable blade it was really close to the same size as the d7 it’s amazing how much those old machines can push thanks for sharing
