It’s great, bro if you could have talked through some of the restoration and process that would have been better. The actually putting it in the water, to verify its integrity and check any deficiencies….the reality is not many people are familiar wuth fiber glasswork or custom jobs. Also your accessories on the canoe are cool, the way you just popped them in is a nice touch

I agree that the these are great bang for buck.. and while the Penn SSMs aren't sealed, they are dirt cheap, and very basic to work on/service ... I also love braid and use it in situations where you probably shouldn't. But that combo is probably the worst use case for braid I can think of. Go 15kg platypus lo-stretch, or something like that, and learn to slide bait for jewies. That heavy arse beach combo would suit that style of fishing just fine (on a budget).

Nice job and some good fishing as well. Like your ideas. A few led lights will light up the inside canoe in those early morning and late evening fishing trips. Adding a rubber floor mat or adding some fine sand to the final top coat of paint helps on the floor. Thanks again Fellow Fisherman here in America 🇺🇸

Nope, Palomar knot. Go through 2-4 times.

Sting from a stingray can kill. Worst sting probably is from the marine catfish, the cobbler.

These reels are amazing value, it wasn't that long ago they were over $400.00. Always been a tank of a reel, still are I think, they just aren't as flash looking as the newer models, but probably way tougher. I bought one today, really can't go wrong for under $100.00
