The sounds are really good!
yeh...I can't stop playing with it, lol..cheers :)
@@davyhereyoutube I can understand that. How's the layout progressing? I need to post some of my updates as well. All the best.
@@OOElectronics It's not progressed much, in fact it's regressed , lol..I've had to dismantle some of it..I'll post an update soon...I look forward to your updates, cheers.
@@davyhereyoutube New one up yesterday!
Very nice. Good to see you back! 😀
Thanks a lot..it's a nice loco :)
Nice layout, Just one thing the driver of that 37 needs a refresher course!
Thanks Tony, lol..aye...I'll have a word with him :)
Nice clittetty clacking , the point’s working great. I don’t know why they still sell small radius ones. The big curved one looks ideal. Layout reminds me of the old south bank area on the approach to Glasgow Central, near Coburg St and Gorbals. Have a good weekend 👍
Thanks very much..aye.. the wee radius points are a waste of time & money..they're ok if all you run are wee shunters or Jintys, cheers
It's all coming together. Good to see!
Thanks a lot :)
🎶 *promosm*
Yep points are a pain. I usually wire both sides of the point, but I try to use as few as possible nowadays. Good to see those filthy diesels again ATB Darren
Aye Darren...a necessary evil..I'll persevere! ...thanks again! :)
trouble with points ? OH YES.
Haha..all part of the fun! 😬
Nice to hear a fellow Scottish accent, Davy. I like the look of your style of modelling, and I liked the station area and the low relief buildings. all the best mate !
Thanks very much Scott..that's great to know! :)
Stobart 66 looks cracking Davy, all cats are ruined lol 👍 Layout’s looking good too
Thanks very much Darren...aye, haha, they're in charge, lol
Good steady progress; nice to see and, of course, nice to see Sam!
Thanks :)
Lots going on! Love the cat chasing the light.
Thanks...yeh..he needs to be entertained, lol
Cat says yes, it’s a yes from me too, love your style, hope you don’t make it too clean looking! Loads of atmosphere in those weathered buildings 👍👍☝🏻
Thanks very much, lol...don't worry, it'll be the mankyest layout on youtube :)
It's coming on. Great to see Sam!
Thanks..he's always there! :)
Wish I could get up your way, too much on but thanks for the look at the show, some interesting shots Davy. ATB👍
Thanks Darren..there weren't too many layouts to see..but still worth a look...cheers!
Didn't get time to go this year but looks much the same as last year. Didn't get a Burger King... Troon had more layouts last year. Might go to the one in SEC this year.
Yeh..wasn't any better than last year...but worth a look anyway...some good retailers there though...don't think I'll make the SEC this year unfortunately.
Maybe make the Troon one, it was in September last year.@@davyhereyoutube
I'll look out for that show :)@@OOElectronics
All looking good. I can't get away with how good the sounds are. I cannot get close to that on DC (so far....). Can you remind me exactly which sound generator is on that 25? Thanks.
Hi, thanks...it's just the standard Bachmann factory fitted chip...I bought that loco in 2009! cheers :)
I believe the issue is that Hornby didnt spring the lead bogie on the railroad A1s, which causes the bogie to leap of whenever it wants to. I fixed an issue like this by finding a super weak spring and bending it to fit right on the screw to apply pressure slightly more to the back wheel than the front. If the spring is too strong however, the loco will be have other issues as the Hornby pacifics with the diecast cartazzi is imbalanced, having far more weight on the back as opposed to equally on the front and back.
That's interesting...thank you for your help :)
Did you work out what was wrong? The tender seemed to stumble as well. Where's Sam?
Hi..yeh..it was the wire I use to switch the point..you can see the yellow flag move when it go stuck..fixed it now, lol...cheers :)
Looking great again Davy, love the Scotsman with sound 👍👍👍
Thanks again Darren :)@@Shelfandtabletoplayouts00gauge
Looking great Davy, loads of atmosphere on the layout. ‘Scotsman’ is fantastic (and loud) 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Darren, aye, it's a bit too loud, lol
Happy new Year Davy, always been a fan of your buildings with their run down look. Glad you’re back messing about with trains, all looking good there ATB Darren
HI Darren..Happy New Year!..thanks very much for your great feedback..much appreciated, cheers :)
Sometimes the simple solution is best. Staying way from specialist model railway stuff can be quite cost effective. I've found quite a few solutions using cheap matt black nail varnish. Soldered joints between wires and side of rail, LEDs on buffer stop beams to reduce the light to where it should be etc. The brush does not need cleaned as it stays in the solution.
Thanks!..that's what it's all about...especially in this climate :)
Yep, no need to break the bank 👍 Good job
Hi Davie, just liked and subbed, nice update, take care, all the best from (North-east) Scotland, Stephen.
Thanks Stephen for your support.. hope the weather's ok up there!
Nice work, took me a while to get my trackwork right you will get there 👍
Thank you, yeh..it's great when you manage to complete a circuit :)
Great progress. Good to get an update from you. HNY!
Thanks very much!...Happy New Year!
Looking good. Simple, reliable method for the points.
Thank you, I like keeping things simple, lol
The Class 20 is looking and sounding great. My cat is always interested in my layout too!
Everard Junction is a great layout. Richard's videos have given me much inspiration.
It's amazing, isn't it...I love watching his videos :)
Thanks for posting. I always liked the sound of the TTS Class 47, especially when fitted with an upgraded speaker (or two!). But the new sound files available for use with the HM7000 TXS are better. So much more control over individual spot sound volumes. Motor control is really top rate too, and half the price of a Loksound or Zimo.
Hi..thanks for watching...It's a really good loco for the price :)
Very nice, great sound!
Not too bad for the money :)
Nice Class 20. Weather too hot for a cat with a black coat!
Yes, he's not too happy about this spell of weather we're getting atm...thanks :)
@@davyhereyoutube Not seen you recently, hope you are OK.
@@OOElectronics Hi..thanks for asking..I'm ok..hope you are too..getting back into the layout now..posting new vids soon..cheers :)
@@davyhereyoutube Yes, fine here. Weather on the turn so back to the railway I hope! Look forward to your videos.
yeh, great hobby for when the weather keeps you in the house :)@@OOElectronics
Good to see Sam again. Winter projects are mounting here too. Good to have things to look forward to when it's cold and dark outside!
Thanks, Sam gets very suspicious whenever I start playing with my trains, haha..yeh, it's more of a winter project..roll on the winter!!
Beautiful locomotive. Which manufacturer? Again, the sounds are really good. What does Sam think about it? My dog takes very little interest in my layout.
Thanks..It's Hornby TTS ..Sam's not seen it yet..he's been more interested watching the birds haha...cheers
Sounds so good. I'm going to make it a project for next winter to improve the sounds on my diesels. Looking forward to local model rail exhibition tomorrow.
Thanks..yeh...I love the winter for railway modeling projects :)
Sounds are really good. Is the complete layout DCC?
Hi, thanks..yes, the whole layout so far is DCC, cheers
It's coming along, good progress. Keep up the videos and include the cat!
Hi, thanks a lot, yeh, the cat's usually never far away, haha 😸👍
