Actually, the issue you're experiencing is quite normal for a system like this. In such systems, we usually trigger an animation event based on the animation playing, and call the sound at that event whenever the animation reaches that stage. Of course, there can be minor issues like this. To make this sound more realistic, I recommend looking into Inverse Kinematics. With IK, not only will your foot movements interact with the environment to achieve a more realistic walk, but the sounds will also be more realistic in this context.

No, it’s not possible. The X and Y-Axis are pre-assigned to 0 and 1 accordingly. However, you can assign knobs (or similar) to control the XY pad with an external midi device. This can be achievable in your DAW. -For Reaper; Open the FX window of the AMBER track, click "Kontakt" plug-in on the left, click Param, click X-Axis in the learn menu, and turn your knob. Repeat for Y-Axis. -For Logic Pro; Click on the AMBER track, press B, click on X-Axis, Click on the External Assignments' Learn button, and turn your knob. Repeat for Y-Axis. @@swishswooshaudio Thanks a lot for your help. Even with Unify, is not a daw, is possible to assingn an Apple trackpad multi touch. I saw last night to watch especifically which controls are, mmmm....0 and 1 it a little problem, but anyway, it is posible. Salute!!

Most likely, you're encountering this issue because your sound is being triggered twice. A simple solution to this would be to use a boolean variable to check if the sound is currently playing. Writing code like "If the sound is not currently active and not playing, then play the sound" should solve the problem.

You're in update dummy. If you want it to only play at a certain moment then either call the code with an event or keep it in update but add in an if statement check to see if the audio source is already playing.

In Unity, the Update function runs on a frame-by-frame basis, so it executes multiple times per second. If your code is running in Update, it tries to play the sound repeatedly every frame, which is why you keep hearing the sound constantly. The best solution for this is to move your code outside of Update. If that's not possible, you can use a boolean to check if the sound is currently playing and only play the sound if it isn't. This should solve the problem.
