Man it doesnt get much better than this! I miss being a young long haired rock dirtbag in the early/mid 80s. For real, i miss it!
Wow that’s my dad’s partner, I remember him and my dad rehearsing together.
Had the chance to see them 2x @ the Mason Jar in Phoenix and one night Limey projectile vomited on stage! Those were the days!
Probably the greatest fucking live band I ever saw... and what nobody talks about is that there were never harder working motherfuckers in the 80s. They were a Los Angeles. joint through-and-through, and they came through *Calgary* something like half a dozen times, and I saw - and danced my face off at - every single one. Half a dozen - The National, The Westward, The Night Gallery, Club Notes, and I'm pretty sure a couple more. *Calgary* bands don't play here six times - they do five gigs and move to Toronto or L.A. (See: Feist and those annoying twins.). It speaks volumes that they would cover this huge, cold country over and over. I can't even begin to describe my respect for Tupelo Chain Sex. And I'm wearing my "Spot the Difference" T-shirt *now* , fuckers.
Seen these guys open for Black flag in ann arbor this tour the venue did not want slam dancing so a lot of people were kicked out when Black flag played the bouncers were tired and stoped kicking people out but the people who were kicked out had organized and wanted to fight so here I am 14 or 15 years old and now we gotta leave the venue in the middle of a standoff the bouncers did not want to go outside cause they kicked so many out . I was hooked on Saint Vitus since
damn good take
2024, still great great great! Thank you, guys!
I want a Saint Vitus shirt. Such an influential band
I was born on this day
That bass line
Brutal!!!!!!! ❤
Funny to see Sugarcane in this context. I heard about it but didn't see this until now.
Keith just getting progressively more drunk throughout the gig
Love the way Keith examines the beer bottle at the start lol
Nothing like it these days. But no greater need.
Reagan vs. Hitler Album Cover, so eclectic, yet non-Talking Headesque! Love Stumuk on Sax and Limey Dave!
🥸😎🤓
Oh my word...what a joy, all these years later, to see Sugarcane Harris having a blast onstage with a bunch of looney punks. Wished I'd seen them live, but settled for playing tracks from Spot The Difference on my humble Midwest radio program back in the day. Salute, TCS!
They should sink this clip, with the chorus of Circle Jerks-Killing for Jesus. “I’m never bored!! When I’m Killing for the Lord!…””😂😂😂
Prefer the similer UK tour version with more of the band in the video and its a lot more agro from HR.
Never seen this video! Excellent performance, Keith’s classic headband
Those massive Marshall stacks.
Alright so this one time in 1986 I went to see the Meat Puppets and the openers were some weirdos called Tupelo Chain Sex. Our town was just fostering the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, they hadn't quite broke yet, but there was increased interest in a fusion of hardcore, ska, swing, blues, etc. This band surprised the hell out of me, and definitely stuck with me longer than the Meat Puppets set. Over the years I did medium dives into TCS, trying to figure out who they were and what their trip exactly was. I can tell you there had not one but two Frank Zappa alumni in the band that night: Obviously Don "Sugarcane" Harris of Hot Rats fame, but also Bill "Stumuk" Nugent, who played sax on Uncle Meat and Joe's Garage. I can also tell you neither their recordings or live footage on youtube comes anywhere close to capturing the energy and excitement they exhibited on stage. Remember this was before digital anything, so there were epic gigs that went completely unrecorded and unnoticed. This band was on fire that night, and seemed like they were way bigger than this little stage they were playing on. They filled the hall with an energy I haven't seen since Fishbone. Besides firing on all pistons, they were also fusing swing, blues, jazz, punk, ska and sometimes. metal. This one really got under my skin. ruclips.net/video/J23M4kMZDwc/видео.html
HellYeah!🤘🏻🤘🏻 Great video considering it’s age & how we recorded back in those days. Thanks for posting this!
I remember seeing them back in the day. It was a great show.
Speed metal!
🛹 🍻 👮
Yes…….
Was at my first duty station (and all of 17 years old) when I finally got to see the CJ's late '85 at the Antenna Club in Memphis. I tried to see them in '83 at the Olympic back home in SoCal, but I wasn't old enough to drive and my mom sure wasn't havin' it haha. Anyway, GREAT band and I still listen to their first three albums all the time.
RIP Mark Adams
непрекрытое, сексуальное, чистое и абсолютное безумие в глазах
I was listening to a podcast with Kira today. She was amazed that Black Flag is famous now. When she was in the band they were unknown. They were starving and had no money. Truly amazing to see how far they have come
iggy son
Awesome vintage Vitus..
I don’t care 😅words are “Don’t Care ‘you’re bababa Don’t Care you’re dada”. Nothing better than drunk Keith.
Karl Sax

The riff Greg Ginn plays at the end of this song was subsequently played by Kirk Hammett on Metallica's first album. Direct comparison: ruclips.net/video/Efb2U15NJCU/видео.html
