How do we respond when we are faced with an issue in life? What’s the first thing we should do? Well, “First and Foremost,” as disciples of Jesus Christ, we need to run everything through the Bible. This is what it means to have a “Biblical World View.”

What can we learn from a Jewish wedding feast in Jesus’ day? Plenty! Join Pastor Glen as he walks through Matthew 22:1-14 and explores how the kingdom of heaven is like “The Wedding Feast.”

In this second of three parables, Jesus uses the image of a rejected stone to speak to the hearts of the Jewish leaders. While it is easy to point to others who need to hear this truth, allow God’s Spirit to speak to our hearts, too.

Jesus shares a parable with the focus on two sons. The comparison and contrast afford us the opportunity to hear from Jesus and also allow the Holy Spirit to examine us and our hearts. One thing is sure-giving lip service and going through the motions is never a good option.

Who or what is the authority in your life? Where does God fit as the authority in our life? What about the Bible, God’s Word?

Answer honestly: are you bearing spiritual fruit in your life? Or, like our text from today, are you full of leaves but have little if any fruit?

Don’t make the mistake of reading the New Testament with little notice of how prophecies from the Old Testament are being fulfilled. In the first 11 verses of Matthew 21, Jesus’ Triumphal Entry is presented and preserved for us. While the festival of Passover was right around the corner, do not miss the fact that Jesus' instructions were filled with intentionality and purpose. And the disciples...

As we wrap up Matthew 20, Jesus takes the opportunity to share some “Road-Side Lessons” with His disciples, the crowds, and two blind beggars along the road. This is probably the most important message I have shared this year. May God speak to each of us through the reading and teaching of His Word.

In Matthew 20, the mother of James and John comes to Jesus to ask a question. What was her posture? Was it a true representation of what was going on in her heart and mind? When you and I go before God, do our posture on the outside match what’s truthfully happening inside? Friends, let’s guard ourselves against having a “A Deceptive Posture.”

In Matthew 20, as Jesus made His way from Galilee to Jerusalem, he pulled his twelve Apostles aside and reminded them of the events ahead. What was Jesus teaching His followers then? What is Jesus teaching us in this passage today? As the Cross was ever before Him, remember-Jesus, the very Son of God, willingly did this for you and for me.

Here’s a question: Do you want God to be fair-or Merciful?
