Eps. 1 - Canon PowerShot G10 - Venice Beach & Santa Monica Pier. A Digicam that shoots RAW!
Very goof présentation and shots
This just popped up on my suggested. Definitely #15.
Thank you for tuning in! I also love #15-the way the light creeps into the room and reflects on the window with a view outside is interesting. 🙌
obsessed with these shots! i love #14, #15, #20. but #35 is my most favorite. mad talented!
Mine too!
#35 the best. Cool atmospheric music. Good idea with a summary of photos at the end. Only slower.
Thanks for the comment and on the feedback. I thought it was a bit too fast also. Yay on #35! 🙏
ke sini gara2 Chanel Anak LA....👍👍🤘🏼🤘🏼
There is a great article on the internet: Shooting the Canon PowerShot S95 in Positive color mode There you find more information about the preset color modes of this and many other Canon Kameras.. 🙂
The “positive film” mode really does bring a unique character to your shots! It adds such a warm, nostalgic vibeperfect for capturing atmosphere. Thanks for sharing that tip! 😊
Subscribed. Hope to see many more videos on your channel in 2024 and beyond. I have the Powershot G15. Love it.
I have my G5X mkII with me at all times - it's a great Canon G camera, though its character is different from earlier G models. [0:30 Was that an F2 bag? What gear do you use 'normally', on other occasions?]
sick photos as per usual!!! #3 is the winner for me too! but I also like #8, #18, and #25
Pilihan emas, makasi komennya teteh
#34. Next time maybe black and white?
#34! yes! You read my mind! Will shoot in BW on the next 36 frames. Thanks for the input :)
Hello Dikka, nice to meet you! I have a G10 and Im using P settings. But the photos look like “new”. I loved yours. Are you editing on Pc or something else? Thanks!
Nice to meet you too! I shot in RAW and then used one of my favorite presets in Lightroom to get that effect. The RAW really helps giving me that flexibility when editing. Give it a try-it might add that extra touch you’re looking for!
I live in SL so it’s interesting to see another photographer’s perspective of it. Nice.
what camera is that?
It's a Digital Leica M-D 262
I really like your content. Straight to topic, super interesting ideas, great narrating
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. Glad you’re enjoying the content, it means a lot! I try to keep it straight to the point and interesting. More to come!
your content is a little different dog and I appreciate you for that 🙏🏽 the hate is so stupid, there are too many go pro pov run n gun videos and too many set up a camera on a tripod and make it cinematic videos. I liked this it's a little different and you can tell you have an artistic eye, some of these images were killer
Thanks so much, man! I really appreciate that 🙏🏽 I’m just trying to bring something a little different to the table, and planning to improve it little by little. Glad you noticed and enjoyed the vibe, it means a lot to me! And yeah, the hate is whatever, it's the secret sauce to make me wanna keep pushing. Stoked you liked the shots!
Great work, I’m #300 🫡 haha
It doesn't go that far! lol thanks dude
Would not fly across the Pacific without a backup camera…😮
That’s right! I was using the backup camera (Yashica) for this one. Definitely wouldn’t make the trip without it,always good to have a backup just in case!
Just subscribed!. I liked the content, and also saw the hate about the cam pointing at you, i hope you point it forward more in future videos, but the hate is overreacting.
Thanks for subscribing and for the feedback! I appreciate you seeing that the hate is a bit over the top. I’ve got one more content coming up on the 15th that still shows one POV (since it was already made a few weeks ago), but after that, I’ll be adding more on front views. I’ll definitely keep your suggestion in mind for future videos. Glad you enjoyed the content!
This is a great idea to cut the high cost of film while taking a more organic approach to making photographs.
Absolutely! Shooting digital definitely helps cut down on film and development costs, while still allowing for that organic, creative approach to photography. It’s a great balance!
My favorite #23. I love this series. Keep doing it.
Thank you! So glad #23 is your favorite! I really appreciate your support and will definitely keep the series going!
I love your 36 frames series! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the 36 frames series. It means a lot to hear it’s been inspiring for you!
Some nice captures here. Some of the other comments about being more POV for the video I understand. It helps put the viewer in the frame of what you're potentially seeing versus what is captured. Unsubbing though? I don't get that. The channel is new, got to give it time to grow and evolve.
Thanks for the feedback! Totally get the POV suggestion-I’ll work on that for future videos as the channel grows. Appreciate your support!
Sorry dude, unsubbing. I agree with what others comment about the camera pointing at you and not what you see. Perhaps next year. We asked in previous vids. Soz
No worries, I understand. Thanks for the feedback, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind as I improve the content. Hope to see you back sometime in the future!
Still want to see more of rundown LA while you are finding photos than just staring at you. Good luck with the channel. I'll have to move on.
Thank you for your feedback! I completely understand and appreciate your input. I’ll start working on an updated version that will include more of the LA scenery, along with some fresh angles to show the front as well. Wishing you the best, and good luck with everything moving forward!
Damn dude you're so hot
Something very odd going on here - the way the camera moves, or actually doesn't appear to move as you move around. Baffled.
Thanks for your comment! That effect comes from not using the stabilization,, which can make the movement feel rough on the background. I'm continuing to improve the experience on the next couple of videos. Glad you noticed!
@@DikkaAfidick Actually, I think it has a very unique look about it. Very cool looking. I'd continue with it, quite honestly.
@@bernardlesperance742 Thanks so much! I’m really glad you like the look. I appreciate the encouragement-definitely planning to keep exploring it! I'll be releasing more tomorrow and next week, with some angle tweaks and some stabilization, so that it'd more pleasing to the eye. Also I'm looking to mix some front-facing view, to see what I actually capture, published sometime end of this month. Stay tuned. 🙏
These photos came out sick! Loved the video
Glad you like them! 🙏😊
Hi guy ! cool picts !! I Recently bought a m 240 with the same lens ...and what a pleasure to use ! i dreamt on a M for almost 20 years , i had a leica q in between but there is no compare .Keep it in the present moment...secret of life best regards from france
Hey there! Thanks a lot, glad you liked the pics! Congrats on the M 240, that’s such a great camera, especially with that lens! I totally get it having an M is like a dream come true! Enjoy every moment with it man! c’est la vie!
Pronounced Mer Lion like Mermaid x Lion. Awesome video.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the clarification. Mer Lion, got it! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Ditunggu Video Selanjutnya.
terima kasih..
cool🤍
🙏
Going to have to agree with other comments in other videos. The perspective of looking at you taking photos and not seeing what you are looking at is kind of annoying. I stopped watching the video. I have nothing against you as a photographer but the angle is annoying to watch.
Thanks for the honest feedback! I get what you’re saying about the angle, and I’ll definitely work on showing more of what I’m seeing in future videos. Appreciate you helping me improve! 🙏
🔥🔥🔥 Singapore is my favorite spot to visit. Can’t wait to see your indo video
Coming soon!
why don't you show the scene, not the camera and yourself? does it reflect on the notion that leica shooters care the most for the look of camera?
Thanks for your feedback! There are actually other episodes where I’ve captured multiple angles, not just the one facing the photographer. But I get what you’re saying! Once I have a second camera, I’ll definitely add a second point of view to show more of the scene. It’s all a work in progress, and I appreciate your thoughts!
I absolutely love the idea of a one gigabyte SD card. Here I am frantically searching all the drawers in my office looking for a one gigabyte card how rare they would be today.
Haha, I love that! A 1GB SD card definitely feels like a vintage treasure hunt these days. It’s amazing how much storage has evolved, but there’s something fun about stumbling across those old-school gems. Hope you find one tucked away in a drawer somewhere or on Ebay.
great idea! i am considering to sell my M-D. its strange, although i love that beat up camera i always tend to gravitate towards other models when grabbing a camera. anyone interested?
That sounds like an exciting move! I’m guilty as charged too! Someone out there will definitely appreciate that beat-up beauty. I bet you’ll get some interest. Good luck with the sale!
@@DikkaAfidick thx
What was that 😢
Love the G series cameras own a G6 a G10 & a G12 still use them in a regular basis they are all very capable cameras people tend to rush after new & more modern gear believing that will make them a better photographer but they are totally missing the point ......
That’s awesome! The G series cameras are definitely classics, and it’s great to hear you’re still using them regularly. You’re so right, it’s not always about having the latest gear, but about how you use what you have. Those cameras have a lot of character and are more than capable of creating amazing shots. It’s all about the photographer’s eye and creativity! Keep rocking it dude! 📸✨
is the picture sooc ?
Hey, thanks for the question! I’ve applied my personal color preset to the RAW images. They’re super easy to edit and tweak! :)
Interesting idea using a 1gb card. But would find it far more interesting seeing where you're walking instead of looking at you the entire time.
Thanks for the feedback! Haha, I get what you mean - a bit more of the scenery would definitely mix things up. I’ll keep that in mind for the next one and try to show more of where I’m headed! Appreciate the suggestion! 😊
#1 #19 #23 #29 #31
Mantaaap cep! 🙏
Had no idea you had a channel Dikka! Subbing immediately and I can't wait to see more videos!
Chris!!! Thanks so much for the sub! I’m really excited to share more videos, and I hope you enjoy what’s coming up. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d love to see! 😊📸
Digital film!
Exactly! 🙌
Bagus fotonya mas Dikka.. kapan2 foto bareng
Ayuu, nanti ya kl lg di Indo :)
Good job. #4 #7 #15 #30
Ahh, you picked #7 too! Thanks bud! 🙏
mine are #4 #10 #16 and #22
pilihan cemerlang teteh!
Terima kasih pertanyaannya. Foto terus ya ✌️
Nice. These kind of ‘test yourself projects’ probably work better if you’re shooting to only JPEG. That way, you really see what you get. It may have been fun to show what you did actually capture compared with what you ended up with after editing. Maybe a second video idea? Subbed too.
Hey Darren, thanks so much for the advice and for subscribing! I totally get what you mean about shooting in JPEG for projects like this, and it’s definitely something I’ll consider for future posts. However, for this particular camera, this specific camera only shoots in RAW. As a photographer, I have certain presets and a look/feel that I love to use, so that’s usually my go-to. But I do love the idea of showing the before and after with the editing process-definitely a great idea for a future video! Appreciate the support! 🙌
@@DikkaAfidick yeah man. The M-D has been my dream camera since forever. Had an M9 but the sensor eventually failed. Keeping my eye out for another.
@@derrenleepoole I wanted the M9 for the CCD sensor, but the fungus build up on sensor is what is known for, unfortunately. Beautiful camera regardless! The Leica M-D was my dream camera too for the longest time, until finally someone sold it. I just had to snag it right away!! Keep making photos man! 🙏
di edit pake apa bang? atau cuma filter bw doang?
Filter BW yg Tri-X 400 om
Cool concept and nice shots. My type: 15, 17, 33.
Nice! Glad that you also picked #33!
